This smart plugs require installation of yet another smart app, called Cozylife. I wish they would all use the same ones. They seem to work fine but I’ve had too many off-brand plugs fail within a year because the company went out of business, and I just get the “server unavailable” error message. That’s why I only give 4 stars, as these are not by a known brand with longevity behind its name.

Now that I’ve had these smart plugs for 6 months, I can say do not get them. I initially was pleased with them because the set up, although not nearly as smooth as other smart plugs I’ve set up, was still not that bad. However, after a few months, the plug just stopped responding to home assistant commands. I went back into the app and found that it had disconnected somehow and I set it up again. This lasted for maybe a month before it disconnected yet again. The last time I tried to re-set up the plug, it just wouldn’t do it. So now the plug is basically just a piece of trash because it won’t connect to the app so there’s no point to it.

Modern look and good as a smart home starter
It works well with the app and without the app. With the app you can easily pair the plug and switch on and off. I don’t have Alexa / google home at home so I could not test out that piece. Without the app, there is a switch on the side where you can turn on and off.I am using it for my desk lamp and sometimes I can just turn it on and off from my bed if I feel like reading before going to sleep.One small thing that I like is that they don’t have any extra plastic wrap for their packaging.One down side is that I can’t put both plugs on the same outlet but that’s fine for me.
