Gifted, and went well
Was for my fiancee, who was looking at it one day and really liked it, so I bought it for her as a birthday gift. She rarely uses her Nikon for anything now.

Best travel camera money can buy!
This is perhaps the best travel camera you can buy. We purchased it for our trip to Egypt and it performed flawlessly! The size and weight make it perfect to carry all day and get great photos. Don’t believe the Micro Four Thirds haters – you can get excellent photos using this system. The battery is a bit small, so you will definitely want to purchase a second battery to get you through a full day of shooting, but that is the only downside I see to this camera.Simply put, if you want professional grade photos but don’t want to lug around a bulky professional camera system, this is the camera for you!

Nagging feeling that I am being ripped off. I really want to like this camera…but it’s going back.
Let’s be honest. Anyone who gets into an M43 camera knows they are compromising. Physics is physics. With OM System, the weather sealing is top notch and the IBIS is amazing. But for the price, I was expecting just a little more. The lens that came with the kit was decent, and I have no complaints about it, as I paid $1,500 for the body and the lens. The lens by itself is almost $700.For background; I own several cameras of different brands and sensors sizes.I really wanted to like the OM-5 II. But for a $1,200 body, I was already giving up a lot.For a $1,200 body, you get:1: Panoramic mode, where you need to STITCH THE IMAGES ON A PC! Not in camera, ON A PC. Never mind the camera has the processing power for this. Even the TG-7 does this! And cameras from 6 years ago do this (e.g Canon G1X III).2: Four custom modes, where you can access C(1) with the mode dial, but need to GO THROUGH 7 STEPS to recall C2 through C4. Let’s just ignore that they could easily allow for one of the wheels to be assigned to scroll through the 4 custom modes. Nope! But I can assign the ISO button to recall C2?3: Geotagging….if you are running the O.I Share app on your phone and the camera is tethered via bluetooth, or you just run your app and let it log your location and then apply that to your imported images, after the fact. Again, the TG-7 does this in camera.4: A decent menu system.5: Great IBIS and IP-rated weather sealing.6: Computational modes that enable digital ND filters and HDR in camera.

perfect all around camera!
The camera is compact and looks and feels really rugged. The stabilization is excellent with the IBIS. There’s a bunch of settings and modes but it’s still noob friendly. I also love the computational photography modes. The kit lens 14-150 mm is a jack of all trades. I’m excited to fully learn everything about this camera.

Great little camera
Lightweight and weather sealed camera full of technology and features not found in other similarly priced offerings. If you are looking for a lower cost entry to the M43 system, benefitting from smaller form factors on camera bodies and lenses, this is a great starter. As a user of multiple systems across Fuji, Lumix, Pentax and Leica, the OM user interface and speed of operation create a more seamless user experience for those that want an enthusiast level all-around camera.

not user friendly/ beginner friendly
takes great pics but buyer beware, it’s not the most user friendly camera. camera itself 7/10 ease of use 4/10.
