Well worth the upgrade/purchase. The battery life is much better with the Ryzen.
If you have used the previous models this will live up to the hype. With the new Ryzen CPUs the battery life on normal tasks is several hours, no longer the hour it has been with the GPUs. This was a pleasant surprise. For years I’ve looked for a good 2 in 1 laptop tablet for travel and work. Many of the units don’t have the power. Ports are always missing. Charging is a pain. I even tried the original EVE Tech V as a possible option (don’t bother with EVE Tech/Dough, hype over performance and delivery). These provide power, charging through any USB C (albeit slow on small bricks, LoL), quality screens, a keyboard that doesn’t suck (expectations tempered for those of us with mechanical keyboards), an overall quick and quality experience. The only place these did not shine was in battery life but with everything else covered that has been acceptable to me. A 10,000mAh batter plugged in USB C has often gotten me through a few hours of work moving around a construction site or job project.

    ASUS ROG Flow Z13
Top notch laptop/tablet computer with super fast chips. It is nicely built. It is compatible with Windows pens for the tablet function. The gaming capability is excellent among the laptops that I used.

Amazing device, with one incredibly annoying quirk
Amazing little piece of tech. When you first get it, it’s so cool that you’ll feel the need to use it all the time. Works great as both a laptop and a tablet, and the performance is insane for its tiny size.So why didnt I give it a 4/5?There’s one very annoying quirk with it. I believe it has to do with standby or hibernate but I played with the settings and could not fix it. Also seems to be a common issue based on looking up other users with issues. It definitely doesn’t happen often, maybe once a month? But sometimes it will randomly turn black and be completely unresponsive. The only solution I found is to hold the power button and fully reset it. I assume it’s getting stuck in sleep and won’t wake, but when it happens the power light isn’t even on. For all intents and purposes it looks dead, just thought I got a lemon. But holding the power button on the dead laptop seems to fix it.Other than that one VERY ANNOYING issue, it’s been a dream. Hopefully it will get resolved somehow through an update, but I wouldn’t be surprised if people assumed their laptop was broken and returned it because there’s no indication that it’s even on when it happens and it won’t turn on when you hit the powe button unless you hold it to fully reset it.

Terrible Quality Control and Customer Support
When i this device there was a large blue bright spot on the left hand side of the screen along with some bad backlight bleeding, unacceptable for a device in this price bracket. And when I try to initiate a return the only option it gives is UPS pickup due to its price. However i cannot due that as i am commuting or at work from 8-8 on weekdays and someone must be present to hand the package over. I spent over 4 hours with chat and over the phone with support to plead my case and only received copy paste message back. At the end i was basically told to figure it out myself. This was the first and now last time I will ever by anything expensive on this platform. If you must buy this laptop I plead with you to spend a little bit more to buy it from somewhere that treats their customers better.

Money well spent while it lasted. Would buy again in the future.
I got this laptop in February used it did everything I needed to do. Hardly notice the keyboard issue that everyone online said it has. Some fan noise but I’m used to it. The display was perfect. Battery was kinda iffy but for a used unit I really didn’t mind. Size was also amazing as well. If you’re willing to spend the money to get one of these its worth it I promise you.

Unless you REALLY need it get something better
Expensive. So I expect every detail to be handled. Sadly no. First the power supply cable is not right angled and its propreitary. It sticks out of the top left corner of the display like complete TRASH. No magnetic connection. USBC charging does NOT work. HDR in game doe NOT work. ALL of the ports should be middle or lower RIGHT side not left. You cannot rotate the tablet 180 due to airvents on top, All of the buttons on the right side, power and settings buttons, are VERY hard to read and even tell what they do. The keyboard backlight turns off with EVERY reboot and requires starting Armoury Crate to get it to turn back on. You cannot see the keys without the backlight. It runs Substance Painter and currently that is the only thing making me keep it. It runs games fine while plugged in, “ok” on battery. ARC Raiders had many lag spikes on battery ??? But it did say about 100fps with FRS and 60-70fps no FRS or upscale. I’m on the 32GB version. I may try increasing the ram to the gpu and see it that clears up. The keyboard itself is “ok” but a bit flimsy. The whole package is fairly heavy. 3/5 easily

Very impressed with the ROG Flow Z13
I am very impressed with the ROG Flow Z13. I upgraded from a gaming handheld as I wanted a bigger screen and more power. This very much delivered. The processing power is amazing. Very high framerates and high fidelity visuals look amazing on the 180hz screen. I love that its made of metal. It feels very sturdy and durable. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase

    Perfect for what I wanted
Exactly what I needed out of a gaming tablet. Especially since the steam deck can’t play every game on steam.I would recommend always getting the 395 since it is significantly better than the 390

After three months with this laptop, I want to share a clear, honest review.Gaming performance is excellent. I bought it mainly to play Black Myth: Wukong (BMW), and I’m happy to say I finished all challenge modes on this machine. For that alone, it feels worth it.The downside: it’s an AMD laptop, but mine shipped with an Intel-leaning Windows setup/drivers, and that caused the exact issues others warned about—freezes, random lockups, and forced hard resets. Reinstalling Windows with the proper AMD drivers/software stack should solve it.For a 3K laptop (especially in Canada), ASUS should have done better out of the box. That said, it’s still one of the coolest-looking laptops I’ve owned. Just make sure you understand the trade-offs before buying.

Super expensive for what it is.-There are laptops with higher performance at a lower cost.-There are tablets that are lighter with longer battery for 1/5 of the cost. You’ll need an exact use case for this hybrid. For me, I didn’t want to “upgrade” my ROG Ally to the Ally X. It’s a whopping 10 percent performance increase. I’m now using the Z13 along with XR glasses to fully play all my PC games on the comfort of my bed. It’s something that the ROG Ally *can* have problems with depending on the game. No more wondering if it’s going to lag, the Z13 crushes every game in my steam library at 1080p 120hz (the resolution of my XR glasses)…. It’s still expensive AF.

The product, packaging and performance are all absolutely unbelievable. The unboxing experience and the initial impressions were unmatched, unfortunately that’s where it ended. Within the first day of using this I had SO MANY issues that seem to be well documented and outright ignored by ASUS online. Issues with the usb-c ports. Issues with drivers. Issues with the touchpad having a 1 second delay when being used. Issues with too much sensitivity when in high but too jittery when on medium sens. I truly wanted to LOVE the device but all those issues (WHICH APPARENTLY IS MOSTLY CAUSED BY ARMORY CRATE – Asus own software) and that it was not even a few days old, I opted to return it to Amazon. The Ryzen AI Max 395+ is amazing and I can’t wait to have other brands carry that chip.

Its an amazing device and ran my 49 odyssey ultra wide monitor and 2x 27 samsung monitor simultaneously with no issue but obviously this kicked it to overdrive and fan kicked in loud. On separate occasion played GTA 5 and the device gotta really hot and graphic performance started to dimish. At last, at one point my device starting making weird noises that similar to burning noise and I quick shut it down and smelled the device for any burnt smell, luckily I didn’t smell anything but after that, the LED lighting at the back stopped working…. I’m thinking it has potential but still a long way to go for solving heating problems and being more efficient.

It could have been 5 if memory can be upgraded from 32GB to 64GB. I am stuck with 32GB given this is a gaming laptop that takes a lot of memory. Opening just 2 apps like Photoshop and KeyShot already showing me that 85% of the memory has already been used.
