    Entry Level Mechanical Keyboard.
I rated a 5 so people would see this review! THIS IS A 3.5 at best. It’s not a terrible keyboard. It’s got some pretty creamy clicks for the first few weeks, then kind of sharpens as you break it in.I haven’t noticed any serious input latency when i’m wired(no issues with plug or connectivity), but the dongle and bluetooth do not hold a connection reliably. Maybe it’s not compatible with other 2.4Ghz frequiencies. Not great if you want to game wirelessly. My typing speed is rough on this keyboard. Something about it makes it less ergonomic to type on than my last red dragon. I’m going to change them out tomorrow for some cherry caps, and see if that helps. They’re a bit lower profile.I purchased this one for the 10 key, up from a 60%. I didn’t notice when I ordered it, but the 0 on the numpad does not span two full keys. I find muscle memory hurts my speed when trying to get numbers down quickly with it being so small, and directly next to the right arrow key.The RGB is pretty customizable when it comes to on board options. You can change the brightness, pulse type(or none), and color pretty on the fly.Actual daily use is pretty standard. The frame is made of cheaper plastic, and can flex easily if you have a heavy hand when gaming. It does not take much to make it feel like it will snap. The whole section from “qwer” down to “zxcv” depresses more than I would expect from a 60(got it on discount) dollar keyboard. The full outer section of plastic is decently thick, and feels sturdy however. If you like tall caps, this will do you well.If you have a light hand when gaming, this will do you well. This keyboard is worth 45-55 dollars. If this would be your first mechanical keyboard, you could do a lot worse. The type feel is nice. Not bad for entry level, while “feeling” a little more custom than a cheap off the shelf at a local store.

    This keyboard works great.
This keyboard was a gift so I am reviewing it from what the owner has told me. He said it is really great. It has lots of features he didn’t know was on it. He was glad he got this one. It was easy to setup and he really liked the quality of it. It doesn’t make any clicking noise and it’s so much better and easier to use. He’s had it for a few months now and is still happy with it.

    Quality keyboard
I really like the size, the feel of the keys, the nice clicks they make and the backlighting. Priced right and delivered on time. I don’t game and use this strictly as a standard keyboard replacement. The volume knob is a nice touch that I didn’t expect to appreciate, but I’ve used it a couple of times now. Feels solid.

    Great keyboard!
I bought the Redragon K742 Wireless 98% Mechanical Keyboard mainly because I wanted a compact keyboard that still had a number pad, and the 98% layout really nails that balance. It saves some desk space compared to a full-size keyboard but still keeps the numpad, which I use a lot for work. The size and layout were honestly my favorite thing about this keyboard. Build quality felt pretty solid for the price. It’s hot-swappable and has a gasket-style design with multiple foam layers inside, which is supposed to help with the typing feel and sound. The keyboard also supports QMK/VIA, so instead of downloading proprietary Redragon software you can just use the VIA editor in your web browser to remap keys and customize layers, which is actually pretty convenient once you get used to it. That said, the sound profile just wasn’t my preference. The stock switches sounded a bit more “poppy” than I like. I personally prefer a creamier, softer sound, and this keyboard didn’t quite deliver that for me out of the box. Some people will probably like the sound, but if you’re picky about keyboard acoustics it might depend on your taste. In the end I returned it, mainly because of the sound. If the typing sound had been closer to what I like, I probably would’ve kept it because the layout and features are actually really good for the price.

    Best bang for your buck
Love this keyboard. Didn’t expect to like it as much as I do. But for the price it’s amazing. You can change the lighting patterns and colors with key combos without an extra app on the PC. I’ve had razor keyboards up until now and other than the keys not being lit to show what key is what I have no complaints. Key presses down nice and can even be pretty quiet if your not intentionally striking them down to the bottom.

Keeps it from the cat who is large and 70+ wpm
So good. It’s loud. It’s clacky. Endless battery. Helps me tuck the keyboard away from my keyboard warrior cat. He’s twenty pounds and great at causing blue screens of death.

    Amazing feel keyboard!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I’ve been using the **Redragon K742 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard** for a while now and overall I’m extremely satisfied with both the product and the company behind it. The keyboard itself feels solid, responsive, and great for both gaming and everyday typing. The wireless performance is stable and the mechanical switches give a really satisfying, tactile feel.I did run into a small issue with the battery early on, which was a bit concerning at first. However, what really impressed me was Redragon’s customer service. I reached out to their support team and they responded quickly, were very professional, and addressed the problem promptly. They made the whole process easy and hassle-free, which says a lot about how much they stand behind their products.Because of how quickly they resolved the issue and how well the keyboard performs overall, I can confidently give this a 5-star rating. Great product backed by excellent customer support. Highly recommended!
