The first one came and upon opening the hue bridge was missing. It was obviously a returned item as the box had been previously opened and re-taped.Amazon customer service was great. They issued a pickup and refunded my money while at the same time I ordered another one. That one came in and everting was in the box.I set the hub up and the 4 lights were found and everything worked flawlessly. This was for our beach condo. I have another hub and 7 hue lights in our main home. Phillips hue always works perfectly.

El hue siempre cumple expectativas. Está funcionando a la perfección. Con respecto a las luces. Pues si, es una versión económica y no se siente tan premium como las normales. No las recomiendo si quieres iluminar.

Simple, Easy, Expensive
Phillips Hue has proved itself over time and remains anong the best, if not THE best, consumer lighting automation. The installation is simple and easy to accomplish and it works consistently. The downside is the expense of the lamps and each lamp to be controlled must be a Hue lamp. To the best of my knowledge Hue does not produce a controlled switch that will work within a circuit like GE Cync does. Cync however, while not difficult, does require a bit of technical know how to plan and install. I use both Hue and Cync integrated within ADT/GOOGLE NEST. In short, for a quick easy non skilled solution pay the bucks for Hue. For more skilled budget conscious control freaks like me, go the hybrid way. A major detractor with Hue is a lack of simple dimmable lamps of controllable color temp.

Philips Hue with Apple Home Kit
We wanted lights that work with our Apple Home Kit and Home Pod without having to go through the 2.4ghz network. These are perfect. Fairly easy to set up, including the bridge. Now we just tell Siri to turn on the dining room lights, or dim them or change color, etc. We are planning on getting more Philips hue products for our home.

I’m using this for family room light, bathroom lights, and bedroom light so I can lower the blue light at night. I’m quite pleased with the range of lighting you can pick. Works well off my iPhone.
