Very fast and works well
Perfect Plex box! After all these years, no issues with bandwidth, audio, full codec support and it’s a fast device. My setup AM9 pro, Homatics Box R 4k plus and Amb6.

Impressive box, with one caveat.
I have been using this box for a bit over two weeks and my initial impression was one of guarded optimism. I had read about the reported problems with random resetting and that has been an infrequent occurrence, it has happened three times. Overall, I have been impressed with the performance of this box. In many ways, it has been the best I have owned. Everything seems to be working as expected (even the afore mentioned glitch). So, the question is, keep it or not? I am probably going to keep it and hope that some future update fixes the glitch. It is otherwise very nice and powerful, I like that it is not running Android TV but rather the regular Android.

AM9 Pro vs AM9
The AM9 Pro is not much of an improvement. Very little performance gains compared to the AM9. Software in main app menu is buggy. When scrolling over apps. Using the dpad, the more towards the bottom of the app menu you go the highlight behind your app icons disappears. The AM9 Pro runs hotter than my AM9 and freezes. It rebooted a few times already. YouTube closed on me out of nowhere.

It Rocks
I am not compensated by anyone for posing this review!Received mine last week, and it rocks in specs compared to Onn and the other major products. If you lack the knowledge on how to add apps to an Android box, it can be a struggle at times. However, once you know how to program the box (plenty of videos out there to guide you), you’ll be set for years to come.Just look at the specs compared to other devices, and you will see the big differences I am talking about. My favorite feature is the Ai upscalling feature, it makes the other boxes look sad! This Ai upscaling feature makes watching TV to a 4K experience!

Flawless video and audio playback with full support of audio codecs(DTS HD MA, DTS X, TRUE HD (ATMOS), etc)The AM9 Pro version introduces Dolby Vision support which was missing in the regular AM9, but still supports HDR 10/HDR 10+ as well as SDR.I have had very little issues with the box, just a few random reboots here and there which I’m sure will get fixed in a firmware update as ugoos seems to update fairly often.The box is fast, made of durable metal shell, stays cool, and supports all of today’s video/audio codecs.The only thing that some may not like is it’s not a certified Android box, meaning don’t buy this and expect to be able to watch your favorite official streaming services in 1080p or 4k – this box is not for that, but it will play all of your locally owned 1080p or 4k media files in different media players just fine.

Acquistato perché è il primo player economico con decodifica hardware AV1. Ho fatto il dual boot con Coreelec (kodi) su microSD (non compatibile col telecomando di serie), altrimenti parte regolarmente con Android 14 e funziona fluidamente e regolarmente col buon telecomando di serie. Vista la poca RAM e memoria storage di serie, a prezzo pieno è caro: va trovato in offerta.
