AA5170 x 8 custom extreme surround sound home theater system absolutely outstanding!
Absolutely outstanding the AA5170 acoustic audio buy goldwood is a pretty unique little home theater system I bought the system back in 2019 just to get good sound for my 42- inch HDTV one of them pretty good sound not too bad use the Bluetooth and SD card and FM radio for a while but mostly using it for my surround sound for the television we hooked it up to my 55 inch TV in 2020 still sounding good but something was missing it was flat on one side of the room the base is what I mean came up with an idea to buy a extra subwoofer couldn’t find one to fit the bill so I was going to scrap that idea Something Told me just buy another one put a 3.5 splitter in between it to split the signal and put it on the other side of the dresser so I did that in 2021 and what a great idea the sound changed more Fuller more stronger more Bass two units 5.1 surround sound system and I was enjoying it then I said you know I can do something with these units because what I had just did wasn’t ever done before to my knowledge with this type of unit so I decided to do an experiment try different items and see will it work with this system I did that started coming up with more ideas as I went along decided to buy two more units oh my God sound changed again this time the base more stronger vibrating the floor and walls it turned it into Dolby Atmos because I had put the speakers on the walls uppers and lowers and rear and I had an EQ hooked up to I figured that out was able to control the base trouble in mid-range it was awesome brought a friend over to test the sound level she had a gadget with a mic and meter and the power that we pushed out was over 1400 Watts of sound power and I didn’t turn it up as loud we may have have got more power if I turn it up a little bit more or a lot but the sound was totally clean even if I turn it up louder it states 700 Watts total power for one unit I can’t give it that but I can give it 70 Watts for one of them but even one has good power and sound and with eight for each unit that’s brings it up to 560 Watts of power plus sound power for all eight of them plus a little more with everything connected up to it felt like I had two powered j b l 18s Subs speakers connected up to these units. With these units I wasn’t using the Bluetooth or FM radio or USB anymore the preamp that I had hooked up to the system had all the functions that the surround sound system has BT for Bluetooth FM radio SD card USB so I was just using the units for the speakers the amp inside and the processor which became a good experiment that turned into a project I highly recommend the aa5170. 71. and 72. And all the acoustic audio portable surround sound systems that they make you could do just what I did with all of them when you get more of them which there are 5.1 surround sound systems it turns them into channels more channels when you have several more you can do a lot of things with this unit expanded additional unit you already have or add on to another unit by another brand with this unit the ideas is unlimited the game has been changed for units like this and the aa5170 has paved the way I highly recommend it my custom sound is Ultimate extreme this is the best who knew that you could use professional equipment with a consumer items I didn’t know until now this is a long story so I highly recommend buying this unit and if you want more sound buy another one and connect using adapter and splitter to split the signal and create your most ultimate system but there is one thing if you used the Bluetooth SD card FM radio you can only use one or the other unit you can’t use both at the same time that’s why you need to get a preamp with the same functions that the aa5170 has it will be complete because you can use both units at the same time. You can build the most outrageous system with these units highly recommend aa5170 71 and 72 + all the rest of them order this unit you would be really happy if you did incredible inexpensive 5.1 surround sound system,,

Great Audio System!
I bought this back in December of 2023 and I set it up in my RV and couldn’t have been more happy with this. I connected to my Bluetooth effortlessly and the sound is great. We bought a house and I brought it inside and connected it to my TV with an optical cable and the sound is awesome. I also created a Moode Audio player on a Raspberry Pi with an Audio DAC and the sound through there is awesome as well and I am able to pick up a few FM stations even though I do not listen to FM since I have a lifetime SiriusXM account. I suggest getting the 3 yr protection plan as I think i blew out the sub woofer speaker but it the 2 yr protection plan I bought expired in Dec. of 25. I contacted Goldwood and they are shipping me a new sub for 69 and throwing in a remote and free shipping! I added their website to my favorites (goldwood dot com) as they have a lot of audio equipment I am interested in especially their outdoor Rock speakers and I also 3d printed some speaker covers to dress it up a little. Thanks Goldwood for the great customer service!

With a couple extra cables so far working great in my PC sound card
I had a set of Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers for my gaming PC for like 10+ years. They were, as far as I can tell, the only easy plug and play 5.1 speakers designed specifically for PC sound cards, coming with easy green/orange/black plugs you just inserted into the subwoofer and the sound card in the corresponding color slots. Unfortunately Logitech stopped making them and didn’t introduce any PC-specific replacement. So when my Z506’s finally went bad and started making a constant buzzing noise, I was at a loss on what to do. There are apparently no 5.1 speakers with a similary easy plug and play connection set up for PC’s, so I nearly paid $300+ for a used set up Z506’s before deciding to try these at only $115.At first I thought I’d made a mistake and these wouldn’t work with my PC. There are 3 pairs of inserts on the subwoofer taking white/red plugs for front left/front right, rear left/rear right, and center/sub, but there was only one plug in the box for these speakers with the red/white pairing on one end and 3.5mm on the other. I had no idea if that would work with my sound card (I’m good with PC software and familiar with the specs and comps for PC components, but pretty lost with the nitty gritty technicals of the hardware). I think I stuck it in center/sub at first and got no sound, so I figured it wouldn’t work. But then I was able to get front left/front right in that plug. So I ordered two ‘Amazon Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Audio Stereo Cable’ (which you will have to buy a version of to use this with a 5.1 PC sound card). Plugged those in and despaired when at first they gave me no sound from the associated speaker pairs. So I went thru the short instructions in the speaker box and saw the remote — and only the remote, nothing controlling this on the unit itself) — has a button among the very many buttons to choose 2.1 or 5.1 sound. Another shopping trip to scrounge up some AAA batteries to get the remote running, hit the ‘5.1/2.1’ button, and praise the Lord, surround sound. So kind of a scary process for someone not knowledgable about speaker hardware tech involving multiple steps — pretty darn annoying that everything needed wasn’t included with the speaker purchase — but ultimately success, and at first impression I’m quite pleased with the performance for the low price. Sound wise, they seem quite good, an upgrade from my old Logitech’s, but crap are they excessively loud. Overall speaker volume at 4/max 30 and my PC system volume at around 60% is about as loud as I want my PC sound to get to, and I had to put the subwoofer separately down to 2 to avoid shaking my apartment walls and unduly disturbing my neighbors. Since these are not designed specifically for PC’s it’s a negative relative to the Logitech’s that all the speakers are the same size (about 1.5-2x bigger than the Logitech’s), meaning the center isn’t designed to lie sideways below the monitor. But it just barely fits turned on its side, and seems to perform normally in that position.
