Surprisingly good sound — “honest” design, great value, and it actually delivers
Let me start with a hot take: the audio industry is one of the least honest industries out there. Big-name brands often sell beautifully packaged… well… overpriced disappointment. Meanwhile, “no-name” products sometimes deliver something genuinely smart and modern for way less money. And honestly? I think this Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus with the subwoofer that was $249,99 is a perfect example of that.I’ve been using this soundbar + sub combo for about six months now, and it’s been nothing but positive. Before I settled on this set, I ordered a few other soundbar kits from Amazon too — some of them were more expensive and from well-known brands. I wanted to like them. I really did. But after comparing everything side-by-side, this is the one I kept.I love good sound, I know enough to be picky… and yes, I might deserve that scary label: audiophile. 😄No, this isn’t “top-tier hi-fi separates in a treated room” kind of audio — but nobody should expect that at this price. What you can expect is a soundbar that actually sounds good, makes movies enjoyable, and doesn’t feel like you paid extra just for a logo. The sound is clear, detailed, and powerful enough for real movie nights. The subwoofer surprised me too — it genuinely complements the system instead of just making random boomy noise. And the tuning options are a big bonus: you can adjust things enough to shape the sound the way you like it (not just accept whatever the factory decided).Bottom line: great value, great performance for the money, and one of the few audio purchases that made me feel like I won for once. Highly recommended.Bonus nerd note (because I actually opened it):I’m the kind of person who can’t fully relax until I know what’s inside the box. So yes… I took the soundbar apart. What you get is refreshingly straightforward, “honest” engineering: real 2-way channels for Left / Right / Center. Each channel has an oval midrange driver (bigger cone area = more air moving without needing magic tricks) plus a soft dome silk tweeter. No weird gimmicks, no “one tiny speaker pretending to be everything.”And it doesn’t look like one amp trying to push the whole bar. Each driver appears to have its own amplification channel (most likely with DSP doing the heavy lifting). In other words: simple, sensible design that explains why it sounds clean and balanced in real life. One more detail:On the back of the soundbar there are two extra full-range drivers for the “sound around / virtual surround” effect. It’s there if you like that wider, more “immersive” presentation.Personally, I don’t use the surround mode at all. I actually appreciate that Amazon made it easy: there’s a dedicated button on the remote to turn those rear-firing drivers on/off. I turned them off and left them off, because I prefer a sound that stays closer to normal stereo — clean left/right imaging, natural dialogue, and no artificial “echo around the room.”

Awesome Bar/Sub for Movies, Streaming and Dolby Content
Before purchasing this bar and sub, I read way too many soundbar reviews and did a bunch of comparison shopping. It eventually came down to this and the Klipsch. I chose this one because I was wanted ease of setup and perfect compatibility with my new Panasonic OLED Fire TV. As expected, the setup was cake and it’s flawlessly compatible with my new Fire TV (the Panny OLED, by the way, is top notch).I can’t compare this to other sound bars/subs because this is my first, but I can compare it to the high quality Denon receiver and Definitive Technology speakers that I also have connected to the TV. I still use the Denon/Def Tech speakers for certain types of viewing (i.e., music heavy and for live sports), but this soundbar/sub is massively superior when watching movies and general streaming content. It’s movie theater quality sound, especially when the content is recorded with high-end sound (e.g., Dolby). It totally changes the home viewing experience.I haven’t had to use the dialogue enhancement because everything is crisp and clear right out of the box with factory settings. There are lots of settings and features available using the remote, though I just set the bass/treble to where I like them and haven’t touched it since. If you are looking at this bar/sub, the only real competition at this price range is the Klipsch, without the sub. I think it is a no-brainer to go with this one, considering the price and quality. My sense is that to really step up from this range you need to spend around a grand on a Samsung system. That’s not for me, and I’m glad I got this. The sound bar/sub are fairly beefy, so if space is an issue, consider that. But otherwise, Amazon has done a fine job with this setup, so I would just do it.

Fire TV soundbar plus. So far so good!
It’s easy to hook up to your tv with the hdmi cable port . The sound is really good for such a reasonable price. The remote control is easy to figure out with many different sound settings. So far I highly recommend it, especially if you don’t want to spend a ton of money.

I love the Fire TV Soundbar Plus with Subwoofer!
We’ve never had a soundbar before, but for Christmas decided to get this new version of the Fire TV Soundbar Plus with subwoofer. I love the full sound and the rich full bass that comes from the subwoofer. We didn’t have a living room configuration to make sense of getting the package that included the two surround sound speaker, but the soundbar with subwoofer do just fine without the surround sound speakers. I’m glad I got the subwoofer as I don’t think the soundbar without the subwoofer would have given the same full bass, and that’s what I wanted. The soundbar was too wide to fit between the legs of our Samsung TV so instead I got the shelf that hangs from the top bezel edge of the TV screen. That means the soundbar is across the top of the screen, and the shelf works great!Adding: Oh, and I use a Fire Stick with the Samsung TV and the sound bar integrated with it perfectly. I can either use the remote that came with the soundbar to adjust volume and EQ, or I just use the Fire Stick remote to control everything as I am accustomed to doing.
