The Hero You Deserve for $60
What I use this tablet for: sits by the side of my bed at night so I can watch streaming servicesBattery life: decent, streams for about 3 hours. Charges in about an hour from dead. A note on the battery the tablet itself will often not restart with it still being plugged into AC power so if you find that it won’t turn back on unplug it first and it probably will.Screen: at the $60 price point it is perfectly adequate. Warning if you like to listen to things like audiobooks do not turn this on randomly in the night with the screen brightness all the way up because it will flash bang you.Bluetooth: again perfectly adequate for modern devices, it has a decent range I could walk downstairs to the kitchen and grab myself a glass of water with it connected up in my bedroom and it works perfectly fine and doesn’t drop the connection.WiFi: this is a device that needs to be inside the home where the Wi-Fi is located it tends to drop off as you walk out in your front or backyard with it. This is just been my experience maybe it’s just me I have a fairly high-end router.Sound: surprisingly above average. With a lot of low end tablets like these you don’t get very good speakers and they certainly are not HTPC or media center type quality but again for the $60 price point they could have been a lot worse.Bloatware: is minimal but you can tell that there isn’t much of a difference between a tablet for a child and a tablet for an adult here. There is a lot of extra stuff that I would personally never use but it is set up for a child if you’d like it to be.CPU + GPU: again in the consideration of a $60 price point I would not say that it performs in an underwhelming way. It has all of the hallmarks of a cheap tablet including the occasional crashing and some screen tearing as you move between apps and definitely some stutter especially with apps like YouTube or Disney Plus or Netflix. This is not terrible to the point where you wouldn’t want the tablet but if you’re expecting $400 tablet quality for $60 it’s not going to be found here.Android Features: for those that are expecting to connect a keyboard and use it as the world smallest laptop, do yourself a favor and just grab a cheap laptop or Chromebook. This is targeting the type of use that I mentioned for myself. I would never say this is full featured as though you could use it as a replacement for anything but as a very low cost screen that you wouldn’t mind losing if it broke it definitely fulfills that role.Storage: this is very much on the lower end I wouldn’t expect to be keeping many files local on this if that is your plan you might want to go elsewhere or look into another option but if you are mainly going to use it for streaming you are probably never going to use up its resources. Still at this price point you will get somewhere between 16 GB to 64 GB and I highly doubt you will be using this as the way you take pictures or record video so you probably won’t even come close to touching that. For those of you who travel and maybe want to download a couple of videos from YouTube for the plane it’s going to be perfectly fine. You could probably store 10 or 30 hours of content and be just fine so long as you use modern container formats like MKV or MP4.Media Compatibility: this is not designed for high-end transcoding if you even know what that is and because of that, do not expect high-end streams to display very well you’re probably going to be able to target 720p through most streaming services and local media and it’s going to look perfect on this screen and I wouldn’t try to push it much further than that cuz you’re just making it a larger file for the same output.Verdict: I purchased one of these for myself when my old Chromebook pooped itself, and I liked it so much that I purchased three more of them as Christmas presents. It’s a plucky little thing and it knows what it is and it fulfills its role it’s not promising the world but it delivers on its promises.

    Callsky Tablet….Great Price, Terrible Performance.
This is a “I never write reviews” post (because I really don’t), but I felt compelled to share my experience with the Callsky Android tablet, which I purchased in July 2025.My husband and I don’t have a TV in our bedroom, so I usually watch a couple of evening shows on my Amazon Fire HD tablet. In 2018, after “cutting the cord,” I was disappointed that I couldn’t access the YouTube TV app on my Fire tablet. Since the app is only available through Google Play Store, I found a workaround to load it, and I was perfectly satisfied with my Fire tablet. However, during the Prime Day sale last July, the Callsky tablet popped up on Amazon, and since I have an Android phone, I decided to give it a try.The setup and navigation were easy and familiar, but that was probably the only real positive for me. Unfortunately, right off the bat, the sound quality was terrible, at which point I should have returned the tablet, but I decided using earbuds wasn’t so bad; however, manually switching my phone WiFi off, turning it on for the tablet, and reversing the process when I was done became somewhat of a pain.Battery life was another downside. Based on two hours of nightly use, the Callsky tablet needed to be charged about every other day, while my Fire tablet typically lasted close to six days on a charge. And the last issue, which could very well have been my not knowing, I could not access a keyboard in places where I needed to type, i.e. searching for a show in YT TV, Google search bar, etc. I went through the suggested online steps for the Callsky tablet, and all I could ever access was a very small wonky keyboard, so I used the voice option instead.Despite these issues, I continued using the tablet, until December 2025 when it suddenly died and would no longer charge. As I did above, I tried all of Callsky’s recommended troubleshooting steps for a dead tablet, but nothing worked.Initially, compared to the price of a Fire tablet, I thought I had gotten a great deal when I bought the Callsky tablet during Prime Day for $69.99; but five months later, I see that this is the regular price—which makes the “deal” feel even less impressive. Needless to say, I got what I paid for; I really regret the purchase and absolutely would not recommend it based on my experience.

Amazing tablet! It’s not as laggy and works very good!!
I’ve been using this Android tablet daily and it’s exceeded my expectations in every way. The display is bright and sharp, perfect for streaming videos, reading or browsing the web. It runs smoothly with no lag, even when multitasking or switching between apps. Battery life is impressive and easily lasts me through the day with moderate use. I also like how lightweight and portable it is, making it easy to carry around or use on the go. Setup was simple and syncing with my Google account took just a few minutes. For the price and performance this tablet is a great value and I highly recommend it for both casual and everyday use.
