Easy setup and great sound
This surpassed my expectations. I have it connected to my 60″ Samsung 4K TV using the ARC HDMI connection. If you’re only using this for your TV surround sound, this is the only connection you need to make. I have an Amazon Firestick plugged into another HDMI port on the TV. After going through the setup process (you need to be connected to your TV to follow the instructions) you can control the receiver using your regular TV/Firestick remote. I turn on the TV like I always do and the receiver also comes on, I can adjust the receiver volume with the Firestick remote. When you turn off the TV, the receiver turns off, can’t get much simpler than that. The setup was straight forward, just connect your speakers and TV, the calibration process is optional. You will need an HDMI cable as it doesn’t come with one, aside from that everything was perfect. The sound is great, so far so good.

An Excellent Denon AV Receiver At A Great Price!
Denon makes great audio equipment, and this Denon AVR-S570BT is no exception. After 12+ years of daily, faithful use, my Pioneer AV receiver bit the dust. I researched many quality “budget” AV receivers (to make the wife happy…lol), to replace the Pioneer receiver, and a lot of reviews and recommendations came up with the Denon AVR-S570BT. This Denon AV receiver is very intuitive, and easy to setup. It also has a LOT of features in this lower price range. This Denon AV receiver powers all 5 of the passive, original Pioneer Andrew Jones Design speakers (the subwoofer is self-powered) in my 5.1 surround system very well, and with great clarity. No, this Denon AV receiver won’t blow the roof off the house, but it does get very loud, even with inefficient speakers, as the Pioneer speakers are, with an 84 db to 87 db sensitivity rating. However, the Pioneer speakers are 6 ohm, so that helps to increase this Denon AV receiver to 90 watts per channel, instead of 70 watts per channel at 8 ohms. This Denon AV receiver also seems to run a lot cooler than the Pioneer receiver it replaced, especially at higher volumes. This Denon AV receiver has just enough “bells and whistles” for my needs, as I really don’t need 7.2 surround capability, Dolby Atmos, or WiFi features that come with the more expensive Denon AV receivers. Although, the included Bluetooth connection does come in handy, and it works very well with Samsung Galaxy Smart Phones. The automatic speaker calibration and setup is pretty accurate, but it also allows tweaking to individual sound tastes. There are probably features and modes of this Denon AV receiver that I will never use, but it’s nice to know they are included just in case I need them.Overall, I highly recommend this Denon AVR-S570BT for anyone that is looking for a high-quality “budget” AV receiver. Just know that it does not have all of the newest features of some of the more expensive Denon (and other brand) AV receivers. However, this Denon AV receiver serves its purpose for me quite well, and then some. Only time will tell regarding durability and longevity. However, Denon does make quality AV receivers, and if I can get the 12 years out of this Denon AV receiver that I did out of my previous Pioneer AV receiver, I will be a very happy camper. So-far-so-good, though.

Satisfied with the Price, OK reciver
Took a chance and bought this unit refurbished for 220$ does everything that it says it doesUsing this with JBL Northridge series speakers and denon subIt feels very cheap nothing like all of my dads older Denon receivers. Maybe that’s just how they make them now? The receiver is very light and the volume Nob feels cheap and almost like I could just rip it off. That being said it does sound alright and the hdmi inputs work. I have my Apple TV switch ps4 and my desktop going into my receiver then to my tv. I don’t notice any latency or resolution decreases! For 200$ I am very satisfied with my purchase however I couldn’t justify buying this for the retail price of 400$

Pretty awful. Dreadful even . This is going into the trash. My last Denon product.
Major pain to set up. I’m an audio guy. You can’t plug it in and turn it on, you have to plug if it into your TV and follow prompts, even with simple stereo. No switched outlets which means I have to turn on my sub separately and remember to turn it off later. Terrible Bluetooth.Terrible manual. Another example of a tech product needlessly difficult to use.Took months to find out how bad this thing is, otherwise I would have returned it.Be careful about bumping a random button on the ridiculously bad remote. You might totally lose a function. Good luck trying to locate it in the manual. Speaking on a bad remote, there is a delay using the volume control. You have to hold it down for a couple seconds before the volume changes, and when it does, it jumps in volume. You go from not being able to hear it to being startled by super loud volume. Did I mention this thing is not very good?I keep coming to add more terrible things about this. If you turn the remote button side down, you might have to set it up again from scratch. When using the remote to increase the volume, it lags and then suddenly goes really loud in a burst. This is possibly the very worst receiver I’ve ever owned.Bluetooth in, no bluetooth out. Can’t use Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers.

I bought this AVR to use in my first 5.1 surround home theatre system. I am displaying on an Optoma UHD60 4K projector, and inputting from a Samsung 4K HD Blu-ray and a Chromecast with Google TV 4K dongle. I am driving 5 JBL bookshelf speakers and a 10″ Yamaha powered subwoofer.I was super impressed by just how easy it was to set everything up. The Denon hand-held me through every step. I am not a complete audio/video dummy but I really appreciated not having to remember everything. I didn’t at all mind to let the Denon make all the initial decisions knowing that I could alter settings later on.I ended-up doing the sound balance microphone setup twice. First time was with some temporary borrowed speakers before my new JBL Stage speakers arrived. Then again after unboxing the JBLs a week later. So I had the opportunity to witness the receiver detecting my plugging in the mic and it taking over and offering to do the full suite of tests again. This is really great user experience design! It did a super job and I have had only made one tweak (to the subwoofer mix setting LFE + front L+R) later on.Everything seems very well matched. Volume in my home theatre space is more than adequate. I don’t run the system at concert or ear-splitting levels and I have audio power to spare.Image quality on the projector is immaculate. Nothing broke — always my fear with new components being added in — and I appreciate the extra inputs and automatic detection of and use of surround content. It even plays all the Dolby modes I have found in streaming content from the Chromecast. What can I say? So far — touch wood — it has been all good and none bad. Woohoo!Oh yeah, there was one annoying thing: this Denon is rather tall and would not fit into my ancient IKEA TV bookcase furniture along with the Blu-ray player. I had to shift fifty DVDs to make room for it and now they’re sitting all over the living room floor. *Sigh*.

Simple to set up. Works beautifully. Have older unit powering main system on main floor for last 10 years… still going strong.
