Great smart outlet extender from Govee
I really like this extender.First of all, I like the form factor, and the fact that on top of the 2 power outlets in the front, it has USB outlets (2 USB A on one side and a USB C on the other), as well as 2-prong outlets on the sides.I also like the light on the top, which can be programmed to come on and off at certain times, can be set to different colors, and its intensity can be brought up or down.Finally, I really like the integration with the Govee up but more importantly, I was able to connect it to Home Assistant and control it from my HA Dashboard, so I do not need to open the Govee app all that often anymore.

Great purchase
Very easy to set up the app and to connect to Wi-Fi. Works great with our current Alexa. Did not realize that the nightlight also changes color so that’s an added bonus!

Good Product But Be Aware of Plugs – Two Prong v. Three Prong
Govee seems to be a solid brand in a world of knock-offs. I have several Govee products that I like, and this one is no exception. The extender works seamlessly with my 2G home network, and connecting it to the app was a breeze. So far, so good.One issue – only two of the six plugs are three-prong plugs. The four full-time plugs on the sides are two prong plugs, and this did not match the configuration I was needing. I freely admit that I didn’t look too close at the side plugs in the pictures as the front plugs are three-prong. Pay attention to how you intend to use the extender.Overall, solid product.

Definitely worth the money
Love the amount of plug ins it has! The 4 on the side are always on and the two on the front are the smart plug ins. You can schedule them to come on or off during certain time periods. The night light is handy as just that or to help light up a hallway at night to help you see better. It does screw into the plug in itself to help anchor it so it doesn’t move when you unplug something. I would definitely buy this again to put more around the house!

No Home Assistant light color control
If you’re using this as a smart outlet, great product. Does what it should. I’m purchased it to use the light as a status indicator in home assistant. Light is blue, washing machine is done. Light is green, reminder to bring the trash to the curb. That type of thing. Unfortunately, I don’t think the light color is addressable in home assistant. You can turn it on and off, change the brightness, but I can’t find a way to change the color outside of the Govee app. One of the reasons I love Govee is that they allow you to control their devices locally over your network, but I don’t think this device allows for that as their is no LAN control option for this in the app. Not a terrible product, just not as flexible as I’ve come to expect from Govee.
