Should’ve gotten a better option
Works very well like it’s supposed to. Durable and easy to control. You can set it up with its own app or even other smart control apps by linking it. The design on the other hand isn’t that great due to the plug uns being sideways. You can’t plug in larger plugs because it blocks the remaining plugs. See picture… You’ll notice I’m using only one plug and the other two plug ins are unaccessible. And I can’t move the big plug to the other end because of the design bump at the head of it. Installed for seasonal use but very handy to use all year long.
Installed and followed the directions supplied and would not provision to the internet to use with my Android phone. Sent a message to the company and they were gracious and advised me of the correct app to use and the product works flawless! it nicely sized and has 6 outlets, and has worked in the crummy weather we had at 8 degrees and worked like the durable outlet that it was designed to be. Very satisfied with the product and company!

Easy to install and the app was also easy to use. I have been using for three weeks and it works very well. I like the fact that away from home I can turn on or off the lights. I probably will buy another one for the back of the house.

Shuts Off Randomly – Garbage
Randomly turns off throughout the evening without any explanation. Have reset the thing four times but it will randomly power off and I have to power it back up again, meaning half our Xmas lights are off for who knows how long before I decide to check it. There is no timer or schedule set that’s causing this (remember, the powering off is *random*).

Works perfect for my outdoor holiday decorations
I was looking for an outdoor plug that I could push into the ground and be able to control with my phone over Wi-Fi. After reading some reviews I was pretty nervous about having connectivity issues so I purchased the TP-LINK – Kasa Smart Wi-Fi plug as another option just in case.The set up instructions were poorly written, but fortunately Amazon provides a video up with the product photos that does a good job in explaining the process. I did run into a road block since I use the Comcast Xfinity Xfi modem. It is a dual Wi-Fi router that broadcasts in one signal. I couldn’t set up the HBN outlet since my phone was on the 5G signal and it needed to be on 2.4G in order to connect to the plug.I didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing my router settings, so during the set up process I walked out in the yard as far as I could until I was beyond the range of my 5G signal. I then let my phone automatically switch to 2.4G. Although, the 2.4G signal is slower than 5G it does have a much larger range. When my phone switched over to 2.4G the HBN app was then able to see the outdoor plug and I was able to complete the set up process.Now I’m able to connect to the device regardless of whether my phone is on the 2.4 or 5G signal. Even if I have to unplug and plug back in the device, I can still automatically connect to it as long a it’s powered on. The app is good enough for me and let’s me set up schedules by a specific time, by sunrise / sunset, or a combination of the two.I’m sure there is more functionality to the app, but that is what I need it for. I know you can also use Alexa and Google Home to control it, but I haven’t tested it beyond the HSN app.The 6 plugs on the device can NOT be controlled separately from each other. They are all on or all off. I sent the TP-LINK back without testing it, so I’m unable to compare the two.Overall, I’m pleased with the product. I use it for my outdoor holiday decorations and it works perfectly for my needs. I did rate it 4 stars because of the poor instructions, connectivity issues when setting up, and the app didn’t seem very impressive compared to other home automation products.

Perfect for yard decor!
This outdoor timer worked perfectly for the lighted decor in our front yard. The kids loved driving up to the house to see the lights on and I could make that happen with the app connected.

The old version is way better. New version does not do WiFi well AT ALL
I really hate when companies change a product that didn’t require changing. I had this item the older version for about two years. The older version I had no issues with it was easy to connect to Alexa. It worked perfectly love that thing. So as a result, I went to go purchase another one this year and this new version that they shipped to me, which I hate it does not connect with their new app correctly. Even though it’s connected with the app when I try to turn it off from the app, it does not turn off so I had my lights being on for the entire night and I didn’t even realize because it did not turn off. I connected it through the Alexa app, however the way that it connects to the Alexa app is a skill and not necessarily as an item which makes it hard for Alexa to pick up the actual item and that does not help me. I have all of the Christmas lights, indoor an outdoor on a timer and it won’t be able to pick it up because it’s not considered as an item or lightbulb or whatever you wanna say. I do not recommend the newer version, but I absolutely recommend the older version and that is why I’m reflecting my stars number here.

This product is water proof and works well. The Wifi portion works well. The only negative is the stand. The stand is only set up with a spike for gardens and should also have a stand to use on decks or gazebos
