Great Drone for all ages and experiences!!!
Overall, a very good drone. From the moment of setup to flying is very quick. I haven’t flown many drones, but this was super easy to use. The packaging was solid and protected the drone. It was very simple to assemble overall. Hardest part was paying attention to which blades go with which position on the drone. Two blades go on clockwise and other two go on counter clockwise. After charging the battery, downloading the app for my phone, and doing the preflight routine I was off and flying.The first flight went well and the drone controlled very well in some decent wind gusts. It hovers and is very responsive to the controls. One note, to control the camera angle it is on the side of the controller. It isn’t clear in the manual how to change the camera angle while flying. The camera and drone quickly connected to the app on my phone and the pictures looked great. Saved some pictures and video. Tried a few functions on the app, like follow me and having the drone circle a point of interest. all was very easy to use and functioned well.The second time I flew the drone I let my 8 y/o try it. He was able to quickly understand the controls and easily fly the drone. We were working on landing at spots and flying to get certain pictures and he was easily able to after learning the controls. Based on this, I think most people could pick this up and use it very easily.Our next steps are to test the range of the drone and check the return to home functions.This was a great purchase and is a ton of fun. THis is hard to beat for the price point and functionality.

Awesome and affordable!
This is Holy Stones new creation and its awesome. I took three flights already and I’m just amazed at what you get for the money. The controller is real easy to use and connects to the drone automatically and fast. The drones response to the controller is great with no lag like some other drones that I’ve had. I flew it in windy conditions and this thing performed perfectly in the lowest speed setting. It comes with a power bank and 2 smart batteries, a nice carrying case and everything you need to get up in the air. Now, for the best part, the camera on this drone is simply amazing! I can’t say enough about the quality of this camera. It’s a 3 axis gimbal and the picture quality and video quality is the best that I’ve ever seen. Trust me, you’ll be impressed. Great drone for beginners and experienced pilots. I love it!

Great Camera, Solid Performance – Some App IssuesI’ve tested 11 Holy Stone drones, and the HS790 stands out for its impressive 4K video (3840×2160) and stable flight. The camera quality is better than the HS900 or HS600D, and it handles well—even in wind—reaching speeds of ~28 MPH. Flight modes like “Follow Me” and “Tap to Fly” work well, though you can’t customize distances, and “AI Night Mode” adds little.Battery life is shorter than claimed (~10 mins in Sport Mode), and the app is buggy unless you use the older HT FLY version. FPV lags slightly and the gimbal struggles during fast turns, but performs well for slow shots.Includes 2 batteries, charger, and all accessories. Not under 250g, but has built-in RID. Great for beginners or upgrading from older HS models.

Great drone for me. I liked the idea of some of the extra features included on this drone compared to another name brand drone at the same price point. Extra batteries, gps tracking, etc. I received the drone extremely quick with excellent packaging through Amazon. The case for the drone stores the drone, batteries, charger, cords, spare props, tools, cords, and paperwork with ease and organization.I took my first flight and had some major issues (probably operator error.) I immediately called customer support on a Sunday morning. Surprisingly, they were available. They were able to help me with ease! If the drone and features didn’t sell itself, the customer support from this company is well worth it!I have flown the drone a couple of times since with ease and confidence knowing I have customer support if needed.I haven’t been able to test the true battery life. I have been flying in near 0° temps a couple of times with the same battery. Probably about 25 mins of flight time. I’m sure it would be longer in warmer more favorable temps.I am a complete beginner at flying drones and this drone and company has been a great, exciting experience. Thanks Holy Stone!

Terrible Customer Service and Bad App (updated)
I have now flown this drone twice. Flying it manually is a lot of fun. The take off and landing function works well and the Return Home function is amazingly accurate as the drone lands within inches of the take off point.Unfortunately, the app is a mess. I cannot activate any of its functions: Follow Me, Tapfly, or Point of Interest. I went on Holy Stone’s website and started a chat to find out how to fix this. The chat started out with the usual automated intro which asked for some basic information, which I entered. It then ignored me for 10 minutes until I bailed out. Then I called their customer service number. The young lady who answered got the same basic info chat asked me, but was no help. All she could do was send my complaint up the line so someone else could get back to me.I am not reassured. I will give them a couple of days then back it goes. To bad, because the drone itself seems to be a quality product. Unfortunately, I bought it for the features. Without them, it is too expensive.UPDATE: The drone went back this morning. I tried deleting the app from my iPhone and reinstalling it. No joy. In the mean time, nobody from customer service has gotten back to me after three days. So not only do we have a faulty product, but they do not stand behind it. I just bought a DJI Mavic Mini. Hope it is more reliable.
