Solid gaming laptop for the price
This is a solid gaming laptop, very capable of playing most games with a decent FPS (rivals gets about 80 on high settings, valorant over 144 FPS)Got it for my girlfriend and she loves it just not a fan of the keyboard. But it’s also very quiet compared to my gaming laptop and doesn’t run very hot. Screen is solid image looks good.

Cheap and impressive
I bought one of the cheapest laptops with a dedicated video card, that bieng said, its sort of impressive. Its 1080p and it does really well at gaming. It played high end games in the 40s (think cyper) and older games around 90 fps. With default settings.Bought to do cad work. It seems capable and relatively fast at that also. Not a rocket, but it was cheap.Fans keep the components cool. When working hard or gaming it blows a lot of air, gets your leg or table hot.Screen looks cheap and isnt tall enoughTouchpad is isnt bad but not the most sensitive.Ryzen does the work it should but is locked down and no oc is allowed.Doesnt do ray tracingFor the price point im very impressed.

Great for the price!
The laptop arrived very quickly, thankfully. As you can see on the website, it comes with very good components considering the price, package was intact and it works perfectly.Great ventilation, it doesn’t overheat or get too noisy, I consider it perfect. The only detail to keep in mind is that you have to be careful about the storage, as the version without much storage might fall short for some people, but if you don’t go overboard, it’s very useful and great gaming laptop for starters like me (never had a gaming laptop before, just a regular one).

It’s alright but they went extremely cheap on the USB ports
It’s alright for a gaming laptop and functions as it’s supposed to, which I can’t same for some of it’s competitors (Alienware). However I do have a huge gripe that knocks off two stars. Most of the hardware on this is pretty good, especially for the price. But the USB ports are extremely outdated. The highest they go to USB-C 3.0, which is 5Gb of transfer speed. USB-C 3.1 and 3.2 have 10 Gb of speed and most external hardware you’re going to find assumes you have that. How this issue specifically affected me: The laptop has a small amount of storage (understandable for the price, I chose to not get the 1TB on purpose.) and I was going to supplement that with an external SSD. I bought everything for it (roughly $150 total) and got to gaming. My game would consistently start lagging out after roughly 30 minutes, and then full on crash after about an hour. So I tested the transfer speeds of my new SSD, they came out to 400 Mb/s, atrocious. I was supposed to be getting up to 6000 Mb/s. So I got a replacement SSD thinking that was the issue, nope. I almost replaced the enclosure and cables as I was desperately trying to find the issue. Finally through research, found out that the USB ports on this laptop were HARD bottle necking my speeds, to the point that I couldn’t run a fairly non-intensive game.To be clear, ALL other hardware on this laptop was more than capable of running it, and when the game is on my C drive it runs perfectly. But I will NEVER be able to run games or transfer large files from external sources because they cheaped out on the USB ports.

Good gaming laptop from HP.
My daughter saved up money to get a gaming laptop, after looking into many options we settled on this one , since I have an HP laptop myself we went with a trusted brand. So far its been good its fast and battery is not great but it will be ok since it will only be used at home. Well made and durable case. Good value.
