    Great Smart Fire TV
Great price on a new model Fire TV. I have purchased Insignia before and the picture quality is superb. It is a good, reliable product. I purchased this one for our guest bedroom so family and guests can enjoy good quality viewing in private.

Best Deal At This Price Point
Worth the price. Picture is excellent. Sound is sufficient. Go to settings … go to display and sounds … go to sound settings and you can adjust the bass and treble. I set the bass at maximum (25) and the treble at 15 and the sound improves very much. I also use blue tooth headsets and speakers sometimes which are easy to connect. Amazon TVs are easy to set up and have many features. If you are replacing an Amazon TV with this one, it offers to download your apps and restore settings from your old set to this new TV during the set-up process. I did a lot of shopping around including Walmart and Ebay. Amazon had the best deal for a good 50 inch smart TV. The only problem was locating where the jack is on the TV for the power cord. There is a little open space on the back and it plugs in at the top of the space. I could not locate it in the instruction manual. Fast and free shipping. It has two legs to stand on and also may be wall mounted. I am very happy.

    Don’t! Just Don’t!
Should be Zero stars! What a nightmare! I bought this tv in August of 2025 and it has less than 50 hours of use on it and the tv fails to stay connected to hdmi devices. Sometimes it sees them and sometimes it doesn’t. When it does see them it, the connection often drops out and you have to unplug the tv for 5 minutes and all the devices and if you are lucky it will see them when it reboots. But then it often loses connection again. I did a little research online and this is a common problem and an indication of a failing motherboard. But that’s not the worst of it, Customer Care is anything but caring. I filed a claim but they needed to escalate the service technician ticket because I was out in the country (seems crazy to send a service person our on a $179 item but they insisted). So I wait, and wait, and wait; a week goes by and no call or email from Insignia. So this morning I call again and they say they will call back even though I had the escalation # there’s no one for me to talk to that can help. I get a call back and after another 20 minutes on the phone, I am told that I should get an email. When I explain that no one has contacted me for a week even thought the first person I talked to escalated the situation and gave me an escalation number; I am told you will get an email. I get the email a few hours later and it requests pictures of the tv and the serial number even though they already had the serial number and the order number from Amazon and imply that the pictures need to show the tv in good condition to verify it is under warranty even though the tv is only 7 months old, well within the year warranty. So I send the information they requested along with a detailed description of the problem I’m having with the tv. A couple hours later a different person left a message on my phone requesting something but the message was unintelligible and they did not leave a call back number. So I call the number of the missed call and got a different guy who argued with me for 30 minutes saying that he couldn’t help me because I needed to contact Insignia and he’s from Best Buy. When I explain that I did call Insignia and read him the email with a signature line from insignia and told him the message said they read my response to the email; he said he couldn’t help me and couldn’t get me a supervisor and told me to call insignia. When he gave me the number to call, I explained that my call log says I called that number on March 31st and this morning and that is how I got to him. He reviewed the notes and saw that was true and offered to have a supervisor call me back. So I call insignia and get someone new who wants to read me the script all over again and grill me on what’s wrong with my tv and can’t get a supervisor or get me to the escalation department but offers to have someone call me back. Situation is still not resolved!4/8/26 The gift that keeps on giving. Today they called back to offer a full refund but only in the form of a physical gift card to “Best Buy”. The nearest store is 150 miles away, nowhere in the page that lists the item for sale is from Best Buy, it is and AMAZON Insignia tv that is sold on AMAZON through the Insignia Store, nowhere is Best Buy ever mentioned. Amazon won’t support you because it’s a 3rd party seller Insignia and when you call Insignia they send you to Best Buy without telling you they are sending you to Best Buy, when I talked to Best Buy they tell you to deal with Insignia.I feel like someone had a huge batch of defective tvs to unload and this is how the actuaries decided was most profitable to deal with the problem–Sell them–hope some work, hope some people won’t bother to return or file a claim, and make it so difficult to resolve that people give up and eat the loss and move on, and if all that fails offer them a gift card to a store they can’t use–diabolical! Why wasn’t the balance just refunded to my Amazon Account? Why won’t they give me a gift card to Amazon where I bought the product? When I asked these questions she had no answer and offered to get a supervisor.Icing on the cake=after 30 minutes on the phone again today waiting for a supervisor the call was dropped and she promised to call right back if that happened and didn’t.Customer Service nightmare!

    Excellent TV.
Very nice TV. Setup is simple and literally the one cord needed comes already attached to the tv so you literally just need to plug it in. The rest of setup (adding feet if not wall mounting and adding the two provided batteries to the remote) are more difficult than necessary in that taking off the back cover of the remote requires more pressure and perfection than any modern device should require, and the installation of feet, while actually quite simple, are made unnecessarily complicated by the directions to attach feet (if not mounting on a wall) and could stand to be clearer. For some reason, the labeling of the feet and the actual directions, are unnecessarily confusing and unintuitive. If Amazon fixes the remote control back removal to install the provided batteries or simply switches to having the remote come with batteries pre-installed and just clears up the directions about how to install the feet. The entire set up process could literally be less than five minutes from the time. The TV is taken out of the package until it is fully up and running. Picture quality is excellent, sound took a little tweaking in settings (very easy to adjust with provided remote: press the settings icon, scroll down to the “sound“ option select “advanced options” and turn the voice dialogue clarity to high and possibly increased the balance from 0 to 1 in the regular sound settings) which is easy enough to do, but why they don’t just have it come set with the audio operating correctly. At the moment you take out of the box I couldn’t tell you, but it does seem like they go to extra links to make their products that are actually decent and quite good unnecessarily, complicated, and confusing to use and or get up and running. Like I said before the entire set up and having it up and running without the need for the sound adjustments, could literally take less than five minutes if Amazon didn’t work so hard to make their products confusing/unintuitive. I still gave it five stars because although it took 15 minutes and not five minutes and it was 10 minutes of time wasted it was not necessary for the actual device and technology, but made necessary by the way Amazon labeled the instructions, etc., but none life. It’s a great TV very light simple to set up with even just one person and other five minutes is preferable to 15 especially in five minutes is totally realistic with the provided device and technology 15 minutes to have an excellent TV, fully functional, connected to the Internet and streaming video or music from your favorite apps is pretty impressive nonetheless. I believe I bought an opened box, brand new version of this 50 inch TV, and total price, including tax and shipping was less than $200.
