Good solid machine
So far so good. Performance has been great. I needed a laptop with dedicated graphics card for 3D solid modeling. That type of software also relies on fast single-threaded processing. This machine offers both. I have full confidence that it would absolutely rip through multi-threaded apps and gaming graphics. Rendering in my 3D CAD software is fast and smooth. Some people report that this machine can run hot but I haven’t done any gaming yet. For daily work it runs cool and completely silent. It feels solid and well made compared to other laptops in the same price range. My only complaint is that it only came with 16GB of RAM. 32GB should be standard for any mid-range laptop, especially one billed as a gaming machine. Both slots are filled so my only option is to replace both 8’s with 16’s. The 8’s will go to waste. I’m surprised the camera is only 720p. All modern machines in this price range should be full HD. As for battery life, I have not yet been able to test it. I use this exclusively as a stationary workstation.

A Solid Choice for newcomers to PC Gaming, held back by a few flaws.
This is a wonderful little laptop. 8 GBs of Ram is more than enough to play some of the more recent games, and its quite speedy with loading too. Although the fan did run rather loudly on more higher quality games and I did worry about overheating, but that can be fixed with a cooling pad and proper ventilation. Light as a feather too.However, I am afraid I must shave off a star for one reason: the storage capacity is beyond pitiful, and can only store a few games at a time, and for an avid gamer such as myself, that means a lot of shuffling your gaming library around. Unless of course you know a place and have the budget to upgrade the storage capacity, or the skills and tools to upgrade it yourself.Overall, I’d give this a 4.5 out of 5, but Amazon doesn’t let you do partial stars, so it’ll have to be 4 out of five.Pros: Very fast, great performance, light as a feather, excellent for casual gaming.Cons: Demanding games can make the fan run loud and cause it to run warm, storage capacity is miniscule.Final Results: The Lenovo LOQ Essential is a solid and affordable option for those newly ascended to the PC Master Race. However, would suggest getting a cooling pad and some kind of storage expansion or external hard drive along with it.

Great laptop, I recommend buying it!
Meets expectations, excellent laptop for every day use. The only thing I’d consider is upgrading the RAM and storage if it gets cheaper. Good screen, doesn’t get noisy usually. The weight is okay, the setup was fine, only took a while, but that’s notmal, I didn’t notice much heat, but the laptop is good looking and well rounded. For this price tag, I definitely recommend it!

Memory compatibility issues, not good for games at only 8gb
This only comes with one stick of memory and no onboard memory. I upgraded to 16gb with two different, supposedly compatible vendors, and it has periodic freezing that I can’t stop until I put the 8gb memory stick. Might not be easy to upgrade to 16gb for some people. I decided to give it away with the 8gb stick and some config changes to optimize performance. Without 16gb memory, it pretty much can’t play a lot of games well. I give it three stars because it works like advertised but it isn’t clear how many memory slots and the vendor documentation for compatible, 16gb ram sticks is not accurate.

Ya llevo con ella desde el 12 de febrero y funciona muy bien (solo como recomendación, actualicen todos los drivers de sus componentes y las actualizaciones del sistema, también de paso compre una pequeña base para levantarla ligeramente y que la laptop ‘respire’ para que pueda refrigerarse) el desempeño en juegos es muy bueno, aunque personalmente recomiendo que se fijen en las temperaturas de la CPU y que no sobrepase los 95ºc y que se mantenga mucho tiempo ahí para que no mate los componentes de la laptop poco a poco.Es una gran laptop y la recomiendo al 100% (incluso la compré aun más barata del precio actual, era antes unos 19,000 pesos mexicanos aproximadamente)

La Lenovo LOQ Essential cumple con lo que promete: es una laptop básica para gaming, pensada para quien busca lo mínimo funcional. Con ella es posible jugar títulos AAA, pero únicamente con gráficos reducidos y bajo ciertas condiciones.El punto más importante es la memoria RAM. De fábrica no es suficiente para este tipo de juegos, por lo que es obligatorio actualizarla a 16 GB para obtener un rendimiento aceptable. Aquí hay una advertencia clave: la laptop solo cuenta con un slot de RAM, lo que limita futuras mejoras.En cuanto a la refrigeración, el equipo solo tiene un ventilador compartido para CPU y GPU, lo que provoca que, bajo carga, el ruido sea considerablemente alto, especialmente al jugar. Esto puede resultar molesto para sesiones prolongadas.Considerando que una memoria RAM de 16 GB ronda actualmente los $2,500 MXN, mi recomendación es evaluar seriamente si vale la pena invertir ese dinero en esta laptop. En muchos casos, es mejor destinar ese presupuesto adicional a una laptop de gama superior, con mejor sistema de enfriamiento y mayor margen de actualización.
