Best picture quality ever
I’ll write a longer review later, but on first blush, this is the greatest TV I’ve ever had to date. The picture is phenomenal, and my Xbox Series X games look amazing and slick on it.Update: It’s 8 months later, and this TV/Ultimate Gaming Monitor is still going strong. LG pushes regular updates to the software and it still has the best picture quality I’ve ever seen. I just helped my 74 year old mother get the exact same model for her bedroom and she loves it. She uses it to cast YouTube videos from her iPad. And she is as amazed as I am at how good all her favorite shows look now.I highly recommend this television. I got the LG 55″ OLED 4K (LG OLED55C1PUB).It’s a smart TV with built in Alexa, and the slick remote is also an air mouse. You wave it like a magic wand to move the mouse cursor on screen. The menus are responsive and easy to navigate, and you can change picture modes quickly and easily with dedicated buttons on the remote or on screen in menus.

Best tv I’ve ever owned
First time OLED buyer. Was hesitant at first because of burn in but after 150 hours I really don’t worry now. This tv was bought to go with my Xbox Series X and my LG Dolby Vision blu-ray player. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase other then after a month I still have not been emailed anything about my extended warranty. The picture quality is amazing! 1917 was way better on my OLED than in IMAX. Gaming is amazing on this tv. With VRR and outputting my Xbox to 120 hz I am having the best gaming experience I’ve ever had! I have already recommended it to a few of my friends. The only cons about this tv are whenever I try to watch a blu-ray through HDMI 4 it keeps defaulting to HDMI 2 the ARC and I have to switch it back like 4 times before it will work correctly and whenever I want to turn off my receiver to use my headset for gaming I have to disable the simp link from the tv menu otherwise my receiver will keep turning back on. Two real stupid annoyances that can be fixed with firmware if they choose.

Great for gaming
Pretty much got this just to play Horizon Forbidden West. No regrets.Pros:- Absolutely no lag/ghosting for gaming.- Great picture- Enough inputs for all of my devices- Magic remote voice feature works well- Multiple settings and features to prevent burn-in. I honestly wouldn’t worry about it.Cons:- If you switch from gaming to streaming on a PS5, you may have to change the audio settings to avoid an echo in some shows.- The smart interface is very user-friendly, but apps can take a while to load.

Horrible stand
I use this for a gaming screen and little else. I plug a computer into it, the end. So things like smart features and remote control have little meaning to me. The picture quality is everything, and it nails that. I’m coming from an older LG 4k OLED that I’m replacing due to horrendous burn in issues, I can say the picture is surprisingly improved. They’ve really brought the technology along in the last few years. Clarity of detail is better for sure, and gsync surprised me, the fluidity is noticably improved.I would give this thing 5 stars, but really I wanted to be petty and give it one for this. The stand is HORRIBLE. Whoever came up with this stand should be taken out back and hit with a baseball bat a few times. It took more than an hour just to figure out how to put it on, there were no instructions. I looked and even googled, nothing.Eventually figured it out by looking at pictures of the unit online. I’ve handled and mounted screens this size before alone without much trouble. This one was many times more difficult than anything like this should have ever been. I cannot stress enough that you should not attempt this alone. I’m not sure three people would have been enough to make it reasonably easy. There are two parts, the back end has to go on first and the screen falls forward once it is on.It will tip right over on a flat surface. And it sticks way out the back so you have to set the screen down on something screen side down to put it on, which is a very unsettling thing to do. I used a queen sized bed. Then you have to stand it up and hold it up as it tries to fall into you, and snap the front side of the mount into the back end. Then you have to tilt the whole thing backwards to screw the front bit into the back piece while trying not to tip it over backwards. Which is pretty hard to do since the back end sticks out so far and there’s little up front to good onto except the screen itself. Note that this thing is heavy, and awkward, and super thin. I was sure I was damaging this thing while I was putting it on its mount. To my delight there does not seem to be any damage and the smudge of my face left from the time I had to pick it up from the front washed off. Definitely leave the plastic film on the screen until you have this thing mounted and placed. I needed a shower by the time I was done mounting this thing, as I was a sweaty mess and my arms were dead. Poor stand mount design, very very very poor. Very. Poor.

Day 1 Review – Beautiful TV Well Worth the Mid-Range Price
I am upgrading to this TV from a 1080p LCD TV, so this had better be an improvement, and it is. It’s a gorgeous TV, with strikingly thin bezels. The OLED blacks they tell you about are just as good as described. $1000 is definitely an expensive TV, but I am pretty pleased with the purchase so far.The sound is also surprisingly good. I haven’t hooked up my receiver yet. But the sound just from the TV is enough to fill the living room, with remarkably good bass for a TV made in the 2020s when sound bars are the assumed default. The smart features are LG standard, along with the LG standard smart remote. The downside is the fact that the first ten seconds after being turned on are filled up with the LG HUD, whether you want to use the smart features or not. I still yearn for the day that we can pay for a TV without smart features, but if you have to have a smart TV, LGs are about as painless as they come.
