Nice small mic with noise canceling
Nice sound quality for the price and size. Easy to hookup, and use. I haven’t used the noise canceling much, but it is a nice added bonus.Everything is nicely made, and the shock mount keeps audio smooth and eliminates sounds from moving around.

Plug and play in 1988. No type c direct, phones haven’t had the old schoom headphone jack for years now, time to catch up. In all fairness, i hate that they got rid of those. Now, when I put the adapters together I heard clicks in the background of the recording. Solution online said to use airplane mode when recording, like, uhh, huh?? If I have to use airplane mode every time I wanna use my mic, I’m out.Recording was decent besides all the extra nonsense so I’ll give it a bonus star.

Don’t even think about buying this
Don’t even think about buying this—I have no words to describe it. I wanted to replace my lavalier microphone, specifically looking for a model with good noise cancellation that would drown out the noise of passing cars, but yeah, no voice, no sound, just a gurgling sound, like I’m underwater, and sometimes it breaks through, like I just emerged from underwater and started shouting into a megaphone. It’s a shame I never recorded anything on my phone without this crap and wasted money on ruined recordings. Now I have to record everything again. I just wasted my time and money. Recording with a supercardioid polar pattern. Yeah, it even records the stomping of the neighbor’s cockroaches behind the wall better than my own sound when I’m standing in front of this mic. I don’t know if the mic I bought is defective or just the quality of the product, but either way, it’s not worth spending money on something like this.

Solid little supercardioid shotgun mic but not a miracle worker.
I have been pleased by Movo mics in the past and this one is no exception, if you know what it can and cannot do. This mic really shouldn’t be used in loud environments while camera mounted at arm’s length. Physics are going physics. I know that is how they show it in the product pics, but still.Boomed 10” above the subject works well so this being used for a talking head with it boomed above works well. You wouldn’t even need a real boom pole. A 1/4 inch on an action cam selfie stick would work. Just add a compatible 3.5mm long cable. I’ve used this on site at high school and college interviews.AI Noise Cancelling. Okay for close mic’d up scenarios where it can catch the voice easier. If it is far way it struggles to remove the now louder (by comparison) background noise.My favorite feature by far is the -10 pad and +20 boost. This helps so much with cameras and computers. Instead of using your camera’s mic gain/preamps, you can use this instead and compare which one sounds better. Loud source? Knock it back with the -10dB pad.Someone mentioned USB C in their review. I had no problem using this on 3 computers, two Macs, Pixel 7, 9 and 10s, and a Samsung tablet.My only con is that they have moved from the earlier mics 2-armed Rycote Lyre mount to a single arm. When placed in the mount and adding the furry windscreen it will start to hang forward and stay that way, even after removing the windscreen.
