Smarter light control with the PHILIPS Hue Wireless Smart Light Switch Button
Smooth and sleek, this larger smart button allows you to trigger scenes based on time of day or cycle through a selection. Time-based light automatically sets your lights to the best color and brightness based on the time of day.
Flexible smart lighting control
Scene cycle lets you choose different scenes for up to 10 time slots, and pressing the button will cycle through. Single scene sets one chosen scene. Press and hold the button to dim or brighten the lights in your space. Start or stop an automation — which you can create in the Automations tab — with a simple press.
Control all lights anywhere in your home with one button
Use the included adhesive to mount the button around your home. The mount doubles as a magnet, so you can also place it on any magnetic surface. Double Deuce –
Small button, big convenience
The Philips Hue Smart Button (2026 version ) is one of those deceptively simple devices that quickly becomes indispensable once you start using it. For anyone building or expanding a smart home lighting setup, this little button delivers convenience, flexibility, and reliability in a clean, minimalist package. What really stands out is how intuitive it is. With a single press, you can turn your lights on or off, and with repeated presses, cycle through customized scenes—perfect for shifting from bright daytime lighting to a relaxed evening glow without opening an app or using voice commands. It’s especially helpful for guests or anyone who prefers a traditional, tactile control.Setup is quick and painless through the Philips Hue app, and the integration with the broader Philips Hue lighting system is seamless. You can mount it on a wall like a standard switch, attach it magnetically to its plate, or simply carry it around as a portable remote. The design is sleek and unobtrusive, blending easily into almost any room.Battery life is another strong point—it lasts for years under normal use, so you won’t be constantly thinking about maintenance. And because it connects via the Hue Bridge, performance is fast and dependable, with no noticeable lag.Overall, the Philips Hue Smart Button is a small investment that adds a surprising amount of comfort and control to your home. It’s an ideal solution for simplifying smart lighting, especially for first-time users or anyone who wants a more accessible, hands-on way to manage their lights.I’m using this handy switch to control a floor lamp next to my recliner. Due to a recent surgery, raising my arm above my shoulder to turn the light on and off became difficult. This switch has been a game-changer for me.I’ve been a loyal Philips Hue user for a long time, and I own a vast collection of their bulbs, light fixtures, and smart switches throughout my home, including outdoor and landscape lighting. I wholeheartedly endorse them. While they may be more expensive than other brands, they are far superior and justify their premium price. They consistently work flawlessly day in and day out without any issues. This reliability is why I highly recommend Philips Hue to anyone interested in starting with smart lighting. I’ve introduced them to several friends and family members, and the only complaint I’ve ever received is, “Why didn’t you tell me about them sooner?”

Work Well with Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT
These work fantastic with Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT. I used to use another brand but they recently stopped working so I’ve switched to these and they work great. We have had no problems at all with this button. I’ll be using these going forward. The only thing I wish they would change is to not put the word HUE on the top of the button. I really don’t like advertising front and center on things I put in my house.

Great addition
We have a HUE bridge, so it was very easy to set up. While the instructions weren’t the best, once you added the button to the app, the setup was intuitively obvious.

Works great, but it slips off the magnetic wall disc
Works great, but it slips off the magnetic wall disc if you’re not careful when pushing the button.

Simple interface for easy solve of scenes control
Learning curve but once you understand scenes you get slots for activating or deactivating 4 of the scenes you’ve created.

Works well and perfect for bedroom nightstand
Like all Hue products, worked well and was easy to connect. And I liked that the magnet on this was is stronger than the original button. Perfect to attach to my nightstand for turning my bedroom lights on

Use-Case
Just what I needed for my living room. Smart lights are installed throughout the room, which this allows me to easily turn on the lights without actually flipping the main switch. Easy to set up, and the options that I can set on the switch are helpful.

Best decision!! These wireless switches have saved my wallet from unnecessary expenses. Instead of having to rewire the apartment, I installed these switches with matching light bulbs and don’t need to walk around in the dark anymore! They’re programmable and able to be removed from the wall and moved around as needed. I can select the colour of light and brightensss from the switch!Well worth it and will definitely buy more once I finish some renovations. The whole Phillips Hue world is expensive but knowing how much the electrician was going to cost, I am very happy with this solution!

No longer comes with the larger wall piece but still has an optional adhesive and magnetic circular mount. Larger I’m diameter but thinner than previous model. Easier to press.

This switch is so cool. I installed it underneath the dining room table to control the dining room lamp.

I have the regular switch with the on/off, dimmer and scene selector but wanted something compact to put above my normal light switch so I can turn off all the lights at once when exiting. As others have mentioned there’s no centering peg or way to keep it from sliding around that’s included in the box resulting in needing to realign the switch after a couple of uses. Probably just going to use some double sided adhesive to keep it from moving around. For some reason at the time of writing this review it’s more expensive than the remote which has more features for a few dollars less.

Garbage, you need a bridge for it to work, so now you have to buy a bridge, permanently connect it to your router via ethernet cable, just so you can have a simple button to turn your light on/off.Should not need a bridge to operate, but Phillips is trying to get you locked in to their ecosystem. They’re specifically designed it that way. They could have allowed the button to turn your lights on/off though the app without a bridge, but they want to trap you in their ecosystem.
