My son dropped his tablet and cracked his screen. He gas Down Syndrome and is usually the most careful child I’ve ever had. He was careful that day as well, but a child of around 7 came and pulled it out of his hand and the mother said her child just wanted to “play along” and said my son was “being stingy” and “it was his own fault for not sharing”. They left and that was it. No name, no apology. Anyway, I got back here on Amazon to see how much a screen replacement is, and it’s almost as much as a new tablet or even a reconditioned one !!! I can’t afford that right now as I have a grown child who is terminally ill and is waiting to be approved for her SS.( that takes at least 5 months) Money is just too tight, so I thought I’d try a glass screen cover.It has worked so far in preventing the large Y shape crack from spreading into smaller cracks or affecting the digitizer.(the digitizer was my biggest concern outside of a cut on his hand occurring) I posted a photo and outside of the glare on the screen you can see it’s still operable and there has been no effect of the digitizer.I TURNED OFF THE DEVICE and then carefully wiped the screen down with 91% isopropyl alcohol and allowed it to dry. I took the screen cover and peeled off the backing and held the top edge and the top side corner using just my pointing 👉 finger and my thumbs 👍 in a L shape. I laid the bottom edge of the screen cover a gains the bottom edge of the screen on the device. From there I just let the screen cover slowly lie down.as it did, it was forcing the air underneath out . At the halfway point I just moved 1 finger to the TOP center of the glass screen edge and let gravity just set it on down. After the screen was down, I took a plastic kitchen spatula and lightly pressed down on the screen to seal it down and then placed a magazine on it for half an hour . I wiped the newly installed screen cover down with Isopropyl 91% to clear any fingerprints, and help it seal down. I took a hairdryer on low and pointed it at the screen for about 5 minutes and then used the spatula again to get out the last little air bubble.It has been a month now and there has been no further cracking , not ANY effect to the digitizer.

Easy to get on both of the kids fire 10 table pro screens (both went on 100% perfectly, no bubbles, all corners/edges are staying stuck down). I appreciate including the alcohol wipes, cloth wipes, and stickers for extra dust pick up for prepping the surface…also included stickers for holding the screen without using my fingers to avoid compromising the stickiness of the edges. When I was confident the tablet screen was fingerprint and dust free. I lined it up, used the holding stickers and stuck them on the front of the screen protector and peeled the back film off to get ready to stick, and slowly pressed one edge down until the screen protector was pressed on all the way across and bubble free! Looks great, feels great. Can’t wait to see how it holds up! Good value. Perfect fit/size for kids fire tablet 10 and 10 pro. I may come back and edit if the screen protector breaks/scratched or the tablet screen breaks…but for now, its 5 stars 🙂
