Beginners tool.
If you’re just starting out in streaming podcasting or gaming & you’re on a budget… this is a great tool to have. IT WORKS GREAT!! Size is perfect, the recording is great. connection is great and simple ,its Clear. Strobe lights are great too.

Great mic with a teeny tiny bit of latency over wireless
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don’t meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly.Why I ordered this item: I have to make instructional videos for work quite often. I’ve been using the mic that’s built into my webcam, but I decided to order this to upgrade to something better. I do have a more traditional mic setup that I could have used, but I don’t want to deal with an audio interface or anything like that so I wanted a wireless or USB option.Likes:* This is both a wireless AND USB option! I love the versatility.* Audio over this mic sounds 10x better than the audio I’ve been recording via my webcam. It’s an overwhelming difference in terms of clarity and noice cancellation.* The build quality on this is great. The weighted base feels heavy and an accidental nudge won’t knock it off my desk.* The shock mount on it is excellent. It’s much better than the shock mount on my traditional mic setup.* Over USB there is essentially zero latency.No likes:* Over 2.4Ghz, there is a tiny bit of latency. Most users likely wouldn’t even notice this as it’s just a few tens of milliseconds, but I’m kind of hyper attuned to this due to previous music production experience and latency is my pet peeve. I will only be using this mic wired which is a bummer.Would I pay full price for this product: I think so.Final thoughts: I think maybe my dream of finding a wireless mic with zero latency is not going to happen until there is some new wireless protocol that is specifically designed to eliminate it. This is a fine mic, and my nitpicky review does not diminish that it does its job exceedingly well. You probably won’t be bothered by the latency unless you are a psychopath like me.

A good sounding entry level podcast/streaming mic with some nice accessories!
Full Disclosure: I received this as part of the Amazon Vine program for review.I work in video/TV/Podcast production and so I’m always interested in what the budget end of gear is doing. I saw this and thought, “That sounds interesting,” so I ordered it.As should be expected at this price point, it’s a very light weight build as a mic. But it does have a ton of nice features.Firstly, the desk stand and pop filter are a nice inclusion- the mic is stable and plosives are broken up by the pop filter. That improves overall quality of voice pick up and is nice to see on the budget level. Also included is an adapter for putting this on a mic stand or mic arm so that adds some adjustment capabilities to your use- use it as a desk mic, use it as a podcast arm mic, use it on a mic stand.The sound quality is good for the price point- for streamers or home podcast recording I think this mic would be a great intro option before going all in on more expensive gear. For Zoom or web conferencing it’s also great!For music it would be ok for rough demos but it’s not the most full range microphone so unless you want that specific slightly thin vibe I wouldn’t get it for that.Additionally, this microphone is both wired AND wireless! That’s convenient if you’re not a fan of wires, however, I did notice some latency when going wireless with it so if you use it for streaming you’ll want to find a way to adjust the delay of your camera feed so your mouth matches the sound perfectly. But if it were me I’d go wired because there was zero latency when I tested with a wired connection.The RGB… exists. I’m not really an RGB person but if you wanted a little bit of it, this mic has a little bit of it. It’s not crazy nor is it super bright but it does exist if you wanted it.Overall, this is a really solid offering for an entry level podcast type mic. It’s easy to set up, it has a lot of nice functionality built into it, as a whole unit it is small on your desk, it’s got good sensitivity when speaking and decent background noise rejection, and it includes what you need to arm mount it if needed!
