Use as a dedicated Cerbo Gx MKII Screen
The 7” Coopers Tablet just arrived today, so this is a short term and very specific-use review. Purchased this tablet to be a wireless, full time screen for a Victron Cerbo GX in my Motorhome. Initial installation of the Victron beta app went flawlessly. The normal procedure would be to perform a factory reset to start from scratch, prior to installing the surveillance app.. As this was a new tablet, I was able to skip this step. The tablet connected to wi-fi without an issue. The Victron VRM screen loaded and the vitals of my system appeared as planned. The screen quality was good, although my use is not demanding. I have zero feedback as to how this tablet would perform in normal use (I.e., storage capacity or sound quality) . I also have not owned it long enough to provide any feedback on battery life. I believe for $40, this tablet has a good deal of value. Time will tell.

Not as described
Runs Android 14, not 15. Very basic. Screen is not really clear or bright. Can’t group apps into folders in app drawer or even organize them, they are automatically in alphabetic order. Can’t get rid of the Google search bar on the home page in any way. Doesn’t have a photo gallery, music player, etc. Will have to find your own. Battery won’t last 8 hours like it says but will hold up maybe 4-6 hours. Freezes up a bit at times. It’s not running 8gb of ram. You can NOT transfer apps to SD card like it says in the description. The tablet case is cheap, not very sturdy. It will do alright for very basic stuff.

Fine for the price
Giving 4 stars because it works for what I needed but it may not work you, more details below.I bought this solely to use as a screen for my baby monitor for that it works great and super affordable. However, you get what you pay for. It feels very cheap, it is kind of slow and the battery life is AWFUL it lasts max of 2 hours. If you need a cheap screen for cameras this is perfect. You could probably get away with streaming shows and movies and maybe some light internet browsing but I don’t think this could handle any kinds of games. If you want it for on the go purposes I also don’t recommend as the battery life is not good. But to be used in your house or somewhere where you always have access to a charger should be fine.

It’s been an hour
This one is a replacement for the first Cooper tablet I purchased. Battery still discharges fairly quickly. I get regular notifications that a new system update has been found yet when I click on the link to download, the link turns gray and within a few seconds comes right back. No option to install, nor does it tell me that the update is installing. Very frustrating…. The other thing is that it wants me to finish setting up. I have nothing to transfer over, and I’ve completed everything else. The notification will stay in place until the tablet is worn out.The tablet has been searching for the BRAND NEW Bluetooth earbuds for roughly 45 minutes now. The earbuds are on, charged AND on top of the tablet. I have an Amazon Kindle tablet that paired with the earbuds in 15 seconds and an Android phone that paired up in 10 seconds. The Cooper will either be paired or else…..

Great for Torque
I bought this to only run a paid license of Torque with a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle on my RV and for the price it’s perfect! The refresh rate is decent, and the gauges run with no problem. The screen is bright. No idea about the battery life since it will be plugged in at all times. The IPS screen has some glare, and installing a new android system and linking my account was slow, but who cares, it’s a $40 tablet. I disabled everything in the settings, so it won’t try to do anything in the background.

Bad
Avoid this tablet. Does not come with android 15, it comes with android go 15. Will not run many apps. Also does not come with 8 gigs of ram, it has 4 and the other 4 are vertual ram. The screen is plastic and unresponsive. It’s a struggle sometimes to even get it to unlock. The battery life is bad. I charged it to 100% and used it for about 10 minutes and it dropped to 90% so that’s about 1 minute per percent. It does come with a case, not a good case. Falls over all the time when proped up with the case.Save your money and buy a better tablet.

Overall it’s a good little tablet. When you consider the price, it’s extremely good! I returned it because I have an iPad (for which I paid 7X more) and I just can’t get used to an android device. The battery life seems to be good, the colours are bright and it is quite nimble in following commands. So I would highly recommend it if you want a small, low cost tablet that punches way above its weight.

Screen was badly scratched, touchscreen ‘sometimes’ worked, battery life was only a few hrs. Even attempt to set up failed, then suddenly reappeared hours later.Item was returned immediately, would not recommend. My 8 yr.old grandson was visiting and even he said ‘grandma…this is junk’

It’s actually a really good tablet, it works really well with most apps and my kid loves it. The tablet is quite fragile though, as it broke with not much effort. It is also very hard to find a good case for this brand of tablet. My wife and I have bought 3 of these now, all of which broke. One of which came to me broken in the packaging. We really Coopers a chance, if they could make a good case that’s compatible (Otterbox). I’ll buy it again in a heartbeat.
