Absolute Game Changer for Security and Convenience!
I recently installed the Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch Deadbolt in black suede, and I honestly couldn’t be happier! This smart lock is everything I hoped for and more. It was super easy to install and connect to Wi-Fi, and the touchscreen keypad is very responsive. The fingerprint scanner is a huge bonus—fast, reliable, and perfect for quick, keyless entry. As someone who manages a vacation rental, this lock is a dream come true. I can generate codes for guests, set time limits, and monitor who enters and when—all from the app! The app interface is user-friendly and gives me total peace of mind whether I’m on-site or away. I also love the sleek modern design—it looks fantastic on the door and adds a high-end touch.Yale really thought of everything with this model. Between the keypad, fingerprint access, app control, and traditional key option, I feel completely covered in any situation. Battery life is solid so far, and the notifications are very helpful.Highly recommend for homeowners, rental hosts, or anyone wanting to upgrade their door security with smart features. This is hands-down one of my best Amazon purchases this year!

Highly recommend, especially for Airbnb hosts!
Highly recommend these locks for anyone looking to automate their Airbnb or their home! The lock syncs with the Airbnb app and you can have codes automatically generated and sent to your guests without you having to do anything. It makes management so much simpler. I had no issues connecting the wifi gateway to my router and then to the lock for a seamless guest check in process. You can control everything through the app, including locking and unlocking the door and seeing the battery percentage. The lock rarely drops off the wifi signal (maybe once a month) but within a few seconds it reconnects (more consistent signal than my phone lol). I got the fingerprint capable one and love it. It’s stylish and modern looking and is great quality. The only thing I wish this lock had was automatic wifi connection capability so that I don’t need a gateway, but again, I have had little issues connecting it to wifi.It is worth every penny. I could not recommend this product enough.

Very convenient and thoughtfully designed touch lock
I recently received this lock and installed it on my door, and I’m very pleased with it. The lock comes in two parts: one is mounted outside, and the other inside. It also uses four included AA batteries, which are installed on the inside part.A really useful detail is that the instructions include two pages: one page lets you check whether this lock fits your existing door, and the second page can be used as a template to cut a new hole in a new door, or to enlarge an existing hole if it’s too small for this lock.As part of installation process you also need to mount a small magnet that helps this lock sense if door is open or closed. Technically, you can mount it on the trim on the frame, but in my opinion, that doesn’t look very neat. A better option is to drill a small hole in the door frame slightly above the strike plate and hide the magnet inside. I chose this method, but it’s up to you.The lock supports two common door thicknesses: 1-3/4 inches and 1-3/8 inches. These measurements are also listed in the product description, so definitely check your door before buying. If you find the printed instructions unclear, I recommend installing the Yale Access app first on your phone. It includes a step-by-step installation guide with videos for each stage, which makes the process much clearer.By default, the lock is configured for left-handed doors (where the handle is on the left when you open the door), but it can easily be set up for right-handed doors during the initial installation.Overall, I really like this lock. It’s very convenient because you don’t need to carry keys anymore — you can leave the house and get back in by using your fingerprint, entering a code, or unlocking it via your phone. Super handy!

I HAD NO IDEA YALE HAD BEEN SOLD.. GOOD LUCK
I suppose this is what happens when a great brand is absorbed by a large corporation like Fortune Brands and gets lost in the shuffle. For the first three weeks, the lock worked well. By the end of the first month, it began to glitch.Customer support repeatedly walked me through taking the lock apart and resetting it. Since then, I have dealt with constant battery drain and frequent Wi-Fi disconnections. Most recently, after five months of use, the lock now emits a random beep every three minutes.I have called customer support six times trying to resolve this. Along the way, I have learned that:(a) There are no supervisors available.(b) I now know how to take my lock apart far better than I ever wanted to, and(c) while I can buy a brand-new lock and have it delivered overnight, it may take months to receive a replacement because they are on backorder. Most troubling of all, I was recently told, “They are not going to do anything if it beeps.”At this point, I call daily over breakfast, not because I expect a refund, but because the situation is astonishing. My most recent conversation was with a courteous representative named Iram, who told me someone would contact me within seven to ten days.Good luck.

Glad I purchased this lock
I switched out an older Yale lock for this slim design. I had a storm door installed and the older lock stuck out just a tad too much. I really like the fingerprint option of the new lock. I was a little confused when the new lock didn’t come with a module to place in the unit. I called Yale and they explained this new lock didn’t require it. Very satisfied. I was worried there would be a lot of set up since I removed the old Yale lock but it was super quick and easy. The new lock came with a metal bracket and wouldn’t you know it, it didn’t fit the existing hole in the door. But you don’t need to use that bracket. I just removed it and all was well. A breeze to install—and I’m definitely not good at installing things.

The lock itself is Bluetooth LE, the included Wi-Fi bridge plugs in the wall close to the lock, connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and communicates to the lock via Bluetooth LE, this works great. The Yale App uses either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi when connecting to the lock.Benefit is that the lock also supports Alexa and Apple HomeKit, I prefer to use it with Alexa. This is a great lock and I can recommend it.
