Quality all in one, fair price, Yamaha stays consistent
Very nice all in one unit, sound feels full and not hollow. HDMI eARC seems to have no connectivity issues, no cutting in & out constantly like other soundbars. Yamaha was my last brand for soundbar, a refurb unit which lasted about 5 years before getting wonky. This one is very nice so far with 2 minute setup and no connection issues unlike the garbage Fire TV Plus soundbar which I gave a shot and immediately returned due to poor sound quality and bad eARC connection issues. $222 price after instant coupon not bad IMHO. The bass sounds great on this all in one imo. No issues with adjusting EQ between games, movies , TV, and live sports 🌟 no readjustments needed between media types. 10/10 Yamaha still on that good good

Easy to setup and sound quality is excellent.
This soundbar has excellent sound quality. It has a variety of settings, connect with arc hdmi and you can control the sound with your tv remote. Other features include Voice clarity settings, Bass increase/decrease, stereo mode, standard mode, movie and game mode. You can also use the Bluetooth feature to play music from your smartphone or other Bluetooth drvice.Easy setup, just plug the hdmi cable (included) into the hdmi Arc opening on the tv.

Control, ease of operation, functions, voice clarity, product support
This Yamaha soundbar out performs all others. It syncs with your TV and other equipment. It works through the hdmi arc or optic cable. This smooth operation and clarity of sound makes it a winner that you will appreciate. It is backed up by a seller that has a product support team to solve issues. Nick quickly solved my issue by explaining my TV’s CEC setting which are not in the manual because it is a factor in my brand of TV. Wait to you hear the clear voices while viewing a movie or show. It turns on and off and volumes up and down with the tv’s remote control. I’m so impressed and happy with this choice!

Good as a standalone. Gets very loud
Sounds great. Very clear. Was hoping for my external hts 10 polk sub to crossover a little more seamless with the sub out port. Bass signals to sub are okay but not great. Returned.

    Works great with self-powered sub-woofer.
Bar sounds great and works really well if you have a self-powered sub-woofer that you want to hook up to it. Everything linked up perfect and sound is great! Also has its own remote if you need it, with separate sub-woofer control so really makes things nice.

    Excellent performance for the money!
This item is a tremendous value for the price! Easy to install, works through its own remote or via the TV remote, can be turned up to as high as you want it without distortion. That’s all I want in a speaker! I’ve mounted it on top of the tv and on the bottom. There is a small indication of where it is mounted but that really doesn’t matter. The output is still clear and full.

    Missed Opportunity
This was so close to perfect. One of the very few with a Stereo mode. Overall Well balanced, the clearest sound bar I’ve ever heard.Where it fails? No center speaker control. No Night mode or Dynamic Range control. No combination of settings prevent sudden volume spikes.Vocal mode is all or nothing and does a good job boosting vocals but also doesn’t distinguish vocals predictably, 75% at best. For the price and a basic functions missing, it’s going back.

    Highly recommend this sound bar
Replaced my Yamaha soundbar that I had for 30 years with this one. Works great, great sound quality. Hope it’s just as reliable as my old one. Love being able to actually hear my shows and this one has bluetooth so I can pair it with my hearing aids. Great product.

The Yamaha SR-B30A is a hidden gem!I bought the SR-B30A over the holiday to compare it with the Samsung HW-Q600C that I bought. And I ended up keeping the Yamaha. It performed much better in bass despite only having the built in subwoofer, as compared to the separate subwoofer on the Samsung. The Samsung had better sound separation, as it’s a 3.1.2 vs the Yamaha’s 2.1 — but the Samsung was WAY too tinny. The Yamaha despite having less channels sounded much richer. The audio from the Samsung was pretty good for movies, though the bass was still a bit lacking, but where it failed miserably was with MUSIC. I played with all the settings on the Samsung, which are fairly limited and couldn’t get music to sound decent, zero bass… and again, very tinny. The Yamaha sounded almost as good for movies, still much richer sound, but not as clean sound separation — but for music it sounded much much better than the Samsung — almost like it was in a different class. The reason I chose the SR-B30A over the SR-B40A is the built in subwoofers AND it supports an external subwoofer. So I picked up a wireless Klipsch subwoofer from Costco to pair it with the B30A. It’s an AWESOME pairing, more bass than you’ll really need — but you can crank it up if you want to physically feel the rumble! And the sound quality and bass from that pairing is way better than any out of the box soundbar/sub combo you can get for the price I paid.CONSThe few things I don’t like about the Yamaha are the fabric vs the metal construction. But I think the fact that really high end speakers use fabric to cover speakers, I think it was a deliberate choice by Yamaha to use fabric over metal for quality of sound purposes! So I think there’s a reason it’s using fabric and it’s not to save money! This could be a reason why the Samsung, which was all plastic/metal, sounded very tinny. The other minor things I don’t like are it doesn’t pair as well with my Samsung TV, which is to be expected. It doesn’t show volume level on screen. And the soundbar has no display, only a few lights that blink — which isn’t very intuitive. Samsung wins in terms of usability, but Yamaha wins in terms of sound quality.

Absolutely loving the Yamaha SR-B30A Dolby Atmos Sound Bar. Just make sure to hook it up with eARC, not optical, if you want to take full advantage of Dolby. eARC makes setup effortless and ensures I get the fullest sound from my LG webOS 86″ TV. Right now, I’m limited to 5.1 since my TV doesn’t support full Atmos, but the sound bar still completely transforms every movie night. Even when streaming from high-end apps like Streamiu, it converts audio to Atmos when available, and the LED indicator lights up to show Dolby is on, such a satisfying touch. The bass is punchy but could have been better, though with the two subwoofers it’s already more than I can ask for given the size of my entertainment room. Dialogue and sound effects are crystal clear, and watching movies feels like stepping right into the action, truly immersive. Plus, having Atmos built in means I’m future-proofed if I upgrade to an Atmos-compatible TV later. For what it provides now? Incredible. Solid clarity, wide, enveloping soundstage, and bass that punches enough to satisfy most setups. I don’t just like it, I love it. This is an absolute game-changer for anyone who wants a middle ground (honestly best) cinematic experience at home.
