Choosing a Gaming Machine for my Grandson
Why did you pick this product vs others?:So, my grandson showed an intense interest in severe weather phenomena and in how thathappens. In particular, he was fascinated with how Tornados occur and with a couple of“storm-chaser” computer games that simulate how you determine where they will formand enable you to chase them and gather data to help you understand that. He had alreadyfound two games, “Tornados: Research and Rescue” and “Outbrk,” that he wanted forthat.Being an engineer, I was excited about my grandson’s interest in this and wanted to helphim pursue it. His parents, however, had Apple computers and both games he had chosenwould only run under Microsoft Windows. My first thought was to upgrade an old Dell Vostro I had and give it to him to run thesegames, but I quickly determined that was NOT a viable path. It was clear that both gameshe wanted needed a modern, powerful graphics card, a significantly faster CPU, muchmore RAM, and a much faster hard drive than my old Dell could be modified to provide.Further research led me to the CyberPowerPC Gamer Master series for what I needed. Iwas impressed with the reviews I found for these machines, and independent reviews forthe component used in them. The quality of the overall machine and the components usedwas primary in my decision, as I wanted to find something I was confident would work formy grandson now and through Middle and High School. I also thought my grandson wouldlove the lighting that is characteristic of these machines and the fact that he could see allthe components through the case (which turned out to be correct).I initially tried a CyberPowerPC with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.6GHz 6-Core CPU, AMD B550Chipset with 16GB DRR4 RAM, 500 GB 500GB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and Radeon RX6400 4GBGraphics card. This looked to be a very capable machine at a very attractive price. However, it barely met the minimum specs for the Outbrk, the most stressing game mygrandson wanted. After receiving it and setting it up, I found that it would indeed run bothgames, but it was like watching snails play leapfrog—a totally frustrating experience. I knewmy grandson would only be disappointed and I had to get something more powerful.Fortunately, CyberPowerPC has a generous return policy, and I was able to return thatmachine and order a more powerful system with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 4.1GHz, 8-CoreCPU, AMD B850 Chipset, 16GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and GeForceRTX 5060 Ti 8GB Graphic card. This machine exceeds the recommended specs for Outbrkand both games run beautifully on it. It also delivers, I believe, everything else I was lookingfor.I love the beautiful, rugged metal and plexiglass case that is used for this machine, and thatit has massive cooling capacity that is whisper quiet. The high-quality of the design andconstruction is clearly evident and impressive. I am very happy with it—and so is mygrandson.

Fantastic deal on an upper mid level gaming rig!
Very happy with this rig for sure especially given the price and upper ranged hardware this thing came with! I spent a lot of time researching in the price point and this cyber power model was literally the absolute best bang for buck!Processor: Ryzen 7 starting out the gate ! We will be set for several years with this. This series outperform I7 in several areas and has a much longer socket standard life since it’s AMD, not to mention it’s a lower cost AMD is the way to go, don’t let Itel fanboys tell you different. AMD for gaming is the way.Graphics: Most on this price range are usually a 4060, or even a 7600 graphic card rather than the newest series, which is lame because you don’t want to buy a new rig only to start off with older hardware 😢. I definitely wanted to go for something that is relevant now not last year or earlier. If I wanted older hardware I should be in a lower price range by a few hundred! The fact that this one came with 5060TI for really only 30+ over others I had seen is awesome! It’s not a insane difference in performance going from 5060 50 5060TI but it’s definitely noticable. It’s about a 20-30 percent increase in performance from my reading. Like I say though most in this range had a 4060 which is a massive difference the 50 series have a much better GPU so yeah it’s worth waaay more than what I paid to go up to this 5060ti.This was a great choice for future proofing your investment as well because its on the AM5 socket which will be compatible with all of AMD series CPU, we will actually be able to upgrade down the road, not to mention AM5 socket is more reasonable which means this will be the standard longer.Ram: yes it only comes with 16gb *BUT notice that this is DDR5, not DDR4, which is already basically obsolete! That’s one spec they really try to sneak in on these pre built to save themselves on cost and still charge you the same 😢.1TB M.2 is great expected at this price point excellent speed and plenty of space for a good while anyways plus this is an easy upgrade later if you want to add to or swap to larger. Power supply is gold 650w which is pretty good lot of time people under supply which kills hardware but other than that they go over kill for the components, this however is just right for the draw of these components even under a load.Wi-Fi 6! Awesome it makes a difference for sure, if your device is only WF 5 or lower your likely not getting a lot of speed you could be out of your router, so love that they didn’t cheap out here. Conectivity is great, full throughput from my high end gateway! The RGB fans included is an awesome touch, customizable for the colors brightness and patterns as well, noise level on these are very low! CPU cooling: I do wish that it was closed loop liquid but this is not a cheap heat sync and fan setup it most definitely keeps temps as low as possible and does a great job under load. You just have to make sure to maintenance and clean the heat sync every 4 months or so to keep it moving heat effectively. The Case is beautiful with tinted tempered glass it looks really nice! Super sturdy as well so no worries about cracking or breaking.Out of the box this is a great machine for the money. Compatible with all games and most at a very high graphics and performance settings. For scale you’ll run latest COD on ultra with about 60 fps over 100 on high. Got this on a black Friday sale so was 930 at time of writing, any others I priced were on sale for about 100 less however those had either 4060, or 5060, usually DDR4 not 5, and either a Ryzen 5 or I5 13-14th gen at low clock speeds. Paying 100 more for going to a Ryzen 5(I5 for Intel)to a Ryzen 7(I7 Intel), getting DDR5 instead of 4(futureproofing), AND going from a 4060 or 5060, to a 5060TI!?! It’s waaay more than worth the extra. If you were building yourself Upgrading these main components to the next tier of both would be about 300 more! This was a steal for sure! I’m hopeful we won’t have any dud parts later down the road but cyber does have a 1year warranty so we are covered there. This is definitely good for pre built because the cyber power PC don’t use proprietary parts which keep you from upgrading or replacing parts later that’s a deal breaker for me with pre built for sure! Make sure you don’t go with a brand that does this otherwise you’ll be buying a whole new computer if 1 part dies in a year or few years. Super happy with this and very glad we found it!!

    Good Buy For Average User
I decided to get a prebuilt desktop after not owning a PC for over 10 years. It booted fine right out of packaging and was in perfect condition, components are clean and new with easy to remove mesh around the vents and glass casing. I don’t play those beefy new unoptimized games so I tested with ultra settings in TheHunter: CotW, Fallout 4 and Baldur’s Gate 3. All run smooth with no frame issues or stuttering. This was well worth what I paid to avoid building my own since I work insane hours, very reasonable and easy to setup – I will say opt to set up via Ethernet and then switch to WiFi once you’ve gone through the Win11 setup, as Microsoft has disabled certain console commands to bypass this on boot.Total usable storage is over 900 GB and perfect for something simple like what I have in mind, can always opt for more storage in the future. Tech support from CyberpowerPC was helpful and responded quickly to my Win11 issue.

I was a bit worried about the reviews, a lot of people have reported crashing and overall just Power Supply issues happening to the PC. I needed a new PC on extremely short notice to return to work. This has been a MAJOR upgrade for me with tons of room for upgrades, aswell as futureproofing. In my opinion if this PC is having issues, you need to get a return ASAP. Or you can try buying an 80+ certified 650 or more Wattage Power Supply to replace the old one. Overall great PC, tons of airflow all around, plenty of USB slots for peripherals.

Great for casual use and looks cool, but not ideal for heavy work or gaming. Sometimes it lags on websites, and the keyboard is uncomfortable — definitely needs an upgrade. Still happy overall for the price.

It’s an okay computer when working, had issues within 9 months of buying where I think the GPU messed up and only would run at 12 fps but their only repair company is in the states so even under warranty it costed me over 200 to send it for repair and get it back, kinda ridiculous they sold something faulty and i have to pay more just to get it fixed and sent back to me. I would not recommend anyone in canada as if you have issues youll be paying more money to get it fixed and back
