Truly Fantastic Product – Very Easy To Use A+++
These YoLink products are just outstanding. Over the last couple years we’ve added several smart plugs, water sensor, automatic water shut off valve, door sensor, motion sensor, and alarm. I’m not overly tech savvy but set up of the devices is a breeze. Once the hub and cell phone app are set up which takes about 10 minutes, adding the various devices is super easy, literally takes 10 seconds. Customizing the settings for the devices is also very simple right from the cell phone. If ever confusion, their website has a lot of tutorials. When the product is bought on Amazon but shipped directly from YoLink – it arrives very fast, typically in the mailbox within 2-3 days. 2 years in, haven’t had a single device failure. Only the motion sensor has required the batteries to be replaced after about 2 years in service … and that took a total of 2 minutes with a couple standard AAA batteries, no weird battery size required. I don’t highly recommend products often, but this is definitely on that list. A+++

Smart Plug, Long Range, Energy Monitor, Remote Control, Automated Schedules. Amazing!
I have been using another brand of smart plug for around a decade now, but they don’t do one designed for outdoors use, and since I’ve been very happy with all my other YoLink devices, I thought I should try this out. First up, like every YoLink product it feels solid and well built. I paired it in seconds, and plugged it in, and was up and running straight away. You can remotely control it from your phone, turn it on or off manually, or set schedules, or use a countdown timer as well. The scheduling is really cool because once you program the schedule from the phone, the schedule is stored on the actual smart plug. That means even if there’s no internet connection, your schedules will continue to run. That’s really nice for peace of mind. Secondly, the chances of this losing internet are pretty low. Unlike my other smart plugs that are hit or miss picking up a WiFi signal, this YoLink smart plug uses LoRa like all their other devices. That means great range, far exceeding that of WiFi. Unless you live in a Beverly Hills sized mansion your YoLink devices will have a strong signal and work reliably.But it’s not just a smart outlet, it’s an energy monitor too! I have a whole home energy monitoring solution from another company and they sell smart plugs, but theirs can’t cope with more than 10A continuous use. The YoLink one supports 15A continuous current, which basically means that anything that can plug in, will work fine.You can also set up “if this, then that” type routines. For example if you wanted to turn on something to scare off an attempted break in, you could do that. I have YoLink vibration sensors on some of my doors and windows so if those detect vibration I could then turn on outside lights. With YoLink’s other products there’s a million different permutations of smart home routines you could set up. Turn on a heater when the temperature drops? No problem.One of the reasons I like YoLink products is how well designed they are. One example of that is the plug that goes into the outlet is really compact. That’s great because bulky plugs often don’t fit in outdoor weather proof boxes, or in multi-outlets with lots of plugs next to it.Overall, I think for everything this can do, it’s well worth the money.Yes, you will need a YoLink hub, but once you have one of those you can add as many YoLink devices as you like. If you haven’t already got their water leak sensors those should be your next purchase, to protect your home from the risk of expensive water damage.

Great product. I use them for a backup space heater in my crawl space for when it gets very cold. Never had any issues with them over the years and the app is super easy to use

YoLink is great, and this plug is as good as expected.I use this on a pool pump, and it does fine with it, although it will overheat if running the pool pump while exposed to direct sun. YoLink had the forethought to put a temperature sensor in the case as well (also handy sometimes), and it will turn itself off if it gets too warm.

Excellent range.
Excellent range, mine is in a watertight stainless steel electrical enclosure in the back of my yard and it show strong signal and switches every time from the app or from the paired fob. I wish the produced a 20A variety. I was worried that it will trip the GFCI breaker, but no, works just fine. Some other manufacturers had that issue.

Doesn’t stay connected reliably, just 4 ft away
Most Yolink products are excellent, and funtion well beyond the 3 year mark. However, this specific plug of which I purchased 2 does not work well nor stay connected nor meet the quality standards. Often loses connection to hub, so that the on/off action fails one or more times, after which it will stay connected and keep working. It needs a better keep-alive timers i guess. Because several times when automation attempts to activate it nothing happens (ok.it gets logged – but I need it to work, not get an error log!) One installation is literally 4 feet from the hub outside the wall and still fails after a period of about 30 minutes! No 1/4 mile range here… I might just send it back to try different plug styles. Batting 0 for 2 now. Sad. (Also, Weird that the unit’s temperature data is only displayed on the devices settings page not its gui widget.)

Great and easy to use product.
Great prduct, works as advertized. It was very easy to install and configure. I particularly like that it tracks power usage – you have a variety of options to track the current power being used, the power used during the day, week or month. You can also export the data for custom processing. The most calue though is the ability to create automations with other YoLink devices. I use it together with the Water Level Monitor to shut off my waterfall pump when the water level in the reservoir gets too low.
