I bought this starter kit as a gift for my sister after becoming addicted to my own Hue lights. I was able to go through the setup with her and the whole process from start to finish was quick and easy.Hue lights are awesome, especially when you pair them with the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. These Hue color bulbs are very bright and vibrant and fit it to any standard bulb socket. My sister and I were having fun cycling through all the colors and most were very vibrant. The only color that seemed off was purple which has more of a pink-ish hue to the color. Sorry fellow purple lovers.Setup:Setup was VERY easy. There are quick start instructions of getting the Bridge and lights plugged in, and the Hue app walks you through the rest. Make sure that you have an open ethernet port on your modem or router, the Hue Bridge needs to be hardwired into your home Internet network. The two bulbs come paired to the bridge already so you don’t have to do any setup work unless you have additional Hue products to pair. Depending on your device the Hue app will also help you setup Siri or Google Assistant for voice control. Overall setup was very easy and went smoothly from start to finish. We were up and running within 5 minutes and playing with the different scenes and bulb colors.Apps:The Hue app is great to control your bulbs, but it is often easier to link to Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa for quick voice control, rather than always waiting for the app to open. Other apps can also connect to your Hue bulbs once you setup a Hue account. Downloading additional apps can let you do cool things like syncing your lights to music or use IFTTT to turn on your bulbs when different events happen like getting a phone call, if it’s going to snow in your area, and tons more. Make sure in the Hue app you also change the power-on behavior. For most people you’ll want to set them to use the last state. That makes it so your lights won’t turn on at 4am when they were already off because of a power failure.Your old light switches:Speaking of power-on behavior, Hue lights may take some getting used to, especially for people who have been using switches for all their lives. For Hue bulbs to work best you need to leave them in a lamp that is ALWAYS switched on. This allows you to control them with whatever app or voice assistant whenever you want. Hue also sells a wall switch that some people might like more if they are accustomed to switches. You would still need to leave your lamp on 24/7 to allow the bulbs to power on; this is something that my parents could not get used to when using smart bulbs. Though less than ideal, if you still want to use your existing lamp switches you can also use the Hue bulbs to just turn on as the last color you set them, but you will always have to manually turn them on and can’t use the app to power them on.Conclusion:Hue bulbs are an awesome way to start your smart home. They are perfect for anyone who uses light bulbs…so everyone! It’s very fun to customize your Hue bulbs and find the best lighting for you based on your personality, mood, or time of day. The Hue lights are bright and reliable and I’m very glad with my Hue purchases.

Very nice, alot of fun to play with
I don’t understand the bad reviews on this. Set up was easy, and took maybe 15 minutes. Great to have your lights customized how you want it, and it’s fun playing with the different colors. We use it with google home, and works well for the most part. For some reason it won’t turn on certain ‘scenes’ with the voice command, but that is the only problem I’ve had. For example, I can’t get ‘Savanna Sunset’ to activate no matter how I word it, but all the other scenes will turn on for some reason. Other than that it’s been great. Wish it was a little cheaper, but will buy a few more bulbs to complete our living room at least. It’s a little difficult to remember to not turn off the lights by hand at first, but I removed the plastic knobs on the lamps and put it in a drawer so no one can turn it off by hand. We also have it set up on timers, so it automatically turns on when we wake up in the morning so we’re not walking around in the dark. Got it on sale, and definitely recommend

Really awesome! But some of the information is deceiving.
Didn’t know what to expect when I got these, but decided to try them out. I was able to get the bundle that includes Amazon Alexa, and was not disappointed. It made perfect sense to have the two together. I took my ‘home entertainment’ to the next level with these lights, and with the help of ‘Alexa’ it feels like something out a movie. Everything is connected through Alexa and it feels amazing having a voice command to turn in the lights. My only problem was my expectations to set up ‘hue syc ‘ with my TV.I was very disappoint with the lack of software to connect my lights, to sync up with my TV. There was no way for my lights to sync up, with out the use of a laptop or computer. But After hours of trial and error I was able to find a app on my phone to basically do the same thing. It’s not perfect, but the app does a pretty good job and syncing up the lights up with my tv.I did have to spend an additional $5 to use the app to it’s full extent, but was very well pleased with it’s function.Overall I like my purchase, but was expecting more out of it.Hue sync needs to be able to connect to my ps4 or as a downloaded app to connect to my TV.

Safety, Comfort, and Cool
We really love ours. Firstly, it is awesome in the Lady Lair. The jetted tub experience is on point and better with a clearer light fixture cover. Being able to bathe in purple and blue hues while being able to switch it to a reading light at the click of a button is incredible. It’s so nice to go from comfort and calm to bright and useful. The kicker is there really isnt much of a lag between colors or brightness changes.The other way we have used it is when we’re both lying in bed and we hear a noise that we think is in another room. Instead of walking down a dark hallway and into a dark room, we can kick on the lights at the click of a button in our bedroom and walk to the house feeling much more confident that we can see what, if anything is going on.These are such neat talking pieces when we have visitors but they have a bigger impact obviously when it is dark.Oh and when we can have kids and we say it’s lights out at 8 p.m., we can literally turn the lights off or turn them on to a night light that can’t be adjusted by the little one.These are great and work better than we expected. 2400 sq ft house and the hub reaches rooms on the absolute opposite side with no trouble.

Worked as expected.Easy installation of Hub, app is smooth to operate, multiple operating options within app – best one I like is when it starts itself in light increasing pattern with morning alarm. No issues so far.

El mejor sistema de iluminación inteligente, son realmente buenos, los colores son totalmente ajustables, el cambio es instantáneo, les recomiendo tener una buena red loca, no me refiero al internet, si no a una buena señal inalámbrica dentro de su casa, se controlan perfecto desde iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Siri, yo en casa tengo un Apple TV que me sirve como unidad central para el acceso remoto desde la aplicación Casa, de Apple, Siri realiza las ordenes al instante, si no cuentas con Apple TV o iPad como unidad central, estos pueden ser activados desde la propia app Hue de Phillips, pero las opciones de automatización con otros dispositivos no es la mas completa, es una excelente compra, el precio es alto pero es mayormente al bridge que se requiere para conectar hasta 50 focos, puedes comprar este kit con 2 focos y después ir agregando mas unidades y haciendo una configuración adecuada.

Al principio tuve un poco de problemas para sincronizar el Hue Bridge con los focos que ya estaban sicronizados con echo plus 2d g y los nuevos focos que los sincronice con el Hue Bridge.les paso el dato para usar FOCOS + HUE BRIDGE + ECHO PLUS 2D G por que aqui hay mucha gente que nomas califica sin tener un poco de paciencia para ver la logica de como funcionan los productos1 paso* los focos deben de estar nuevos ó en reset (para poner en reset es con la app hue philips y usando el numero de serie del foco)2 paso* bajas la app a tu celular HUE PHILIPS3 paso* sincronizas los focos al Hue Bridge mediante la app hue philips y siguiendo las intrucciones , ya que esten la app haya detectado el Hue Bridge y los focos nos pasamos a alexa4 paso* en la app de alexa te vas a la pestaña de DISPOSITIVOS pones en el sigon de + para AGREGAR DISPOSITIVO y en lugar de intentar buscar los focos, te vas al apartado que dice CONTROLADOR/ Y SELECCIONAS PHILIPS HUE (para que se agregue el Hue Bridge de tu casa y ya se agregan automaticamente los focos a ALEXA para podelos usar con todas sus funciones ) OJO solo se puede instalar en una sola red , si se va a cambiar de lugar se tiene que hacer reset al Hue Bridge para empezar todos los pasos nuevamente

La sincronizacion con los dispositivos moviles es extremadamente facil, solamente descargas el app, lo sincronizas con tu HUB y listo! tienen realmente todo el spectro de colores y es muy preciso.Se sincroniza muy bien con alexa, y tambien con Siri home, sin necesidad del apple home.a cada foco le puedes poner un nombre individual, y asi sincroniza con los comando de voz de acuerdo a que tengas sincronizado.Apaga la sala, Apaga el cuarto, etc, y funciona muy coolpuedes inclusivo decir, Alexa baja la luz a 50% y disminuye la iluminacion. Tambien con cambio de color.es muy facil configurarlo, es solamente cuestion de seguir las instrucciones! Totalmente recomendado para inciar con tu smarthome.

Me parece un dispositivo ideal para iniciar con la nueva era “casas inteligentes”Muy práctico y fácil de configurar, a demás de la amplia gama de funciones que tienen como sincronización con música, tv,PC etc. Definiendo el área como de entretenimiento.El control a través de wi-fi incluso fuera de casa, la amplia variedad de colores en el caso de los focos de color, hay demasiadas funciones lo que le da un valor agregado a lo que solo consideramos como “foco”.Ampliamente recomendable, aún que tienen margen de mejora con los precios ya que son algo elevados y también el que haya variedad de potencia, por ejemplo 4 o 5 wats.
