Simple, Loud, and Effective
TL;DR: It’s very simple and rather low tech. It’s loud. That’s all it needs to be for $20.I received this product for free through Amazon Vine.==================================================The 135dB Freestanding Keypad Motion Sensor Intruder Burglar Alarm for Indoor Home Security. Portable Battery Operated Alert for Travel, Camp. Cordless Loud Sound PIR Motion Detector Garage Shed Siren is exactly the kind of straightforward, no‑frills security gadget that delivers what it promises without complication, unnecessary features, or confusing setup. It’s designed to sit quietly until motion triggers it, and when that happens it emits a startlingly loud 135 decibel alarm — a level of sound that’s genuinely attention‑grabbing and effective at alerting you or deterring intruders in a variety of environments. For roughly $20, the simplicity of operation and the sheer volume it delivers make it feel like a practical, purposeful tool rather than an overengineered gadget.Setting this alarm up is about as uncomplicated as technology gets. There are no complex apps, no Wi‑Fi configurations, and no recurring subscriptions to worry about — you insert batteries, place it where you want detection, and let it stand guard. The freestanding form factor means you have the freedom to position it on shelves, counters, windowsills, or even in a garage or shed without needing to mount or hard‑wire anything into place. Being battery operated and cordless, it feels adaptable too; you can take it with you on trips, deploy it in temporary living spaces, or use it during outdoor stays like camping where traditional wired alarms simply aren’t feasible. The motion sensor itself is basic PIR (passive infrared), which means it works by detecting changes in infrared heat in its field of view — a practical and proven method for sensing movement without the complexity of cameras or networked systems. But what really defines this device is the sound. At 135dB, the alarm is loudly obnoxious in exactly the way you want a security alert to be — harsh enough to startle an unwelcome visitor, to catch the attention of people nearby, or to shake you awake in case something is amiss in the middle of the night. It doesn’t whisper; it doesn’t beep politely; it screams in a way that makes it clear something is going on. In situations where you need a clear wake‑up call, a simple deterrent, or just a loud notice that motion has been detected, the siren accomplishes that mission extremely well.Because it’s so low‑tech and straightforward, it won’t replace a full smart home security system with cameras, mobile alerts, or cloud integration — but that’s not what it’s trying to be. Instead, this alarm feels right for contexts where plain volume and simplicity are exactly what you want: a quick alert in a garage, an added visible/physical layer of security in a storage room, a mobile deterrent for travel, or an inexpensive tool for someone who wants to feel like they’ve taken an extra step toward securing a space without investing in elaborate infrastructure. In daily use, the uncomplicated nature of the 135dB Freestanding Keypad Motion Sensor Intruder Burglar Alarm for Indoor Home Security. Portable Battery Operated Alert for Travel, Camp. Cordless Loud Sound PIR Motion Detector Garage Shed Siren translates into a sense of reliability precisely because there’s nothing to configure incorrectly. It does one job, and it does it well: when motion enters its detection zone, it produces a very loud, very serious alarm. You don’t need flashy controls, cloud access, or push notifications to appreciate that basic function — you just need a device that can make noise when something moves where it shouldn’t, and for $20, this delivers exactly that with straightforward effectiveness.

It’s pretty good, but it cannot be your only method of defense.
This works well for what it is and it has accurate and reliable motion detection. It’s easy to set up. Easy to use. Good value. The main thing it does is detect motion and sound an alarm. This is useful, but other measures should be used as well. It looks nice and works well.

Excellent simple alarm
This little alarm is great for travel or staying overnight somewhere you’re not totally familiar with. It’s super easy to set up and use. No complicated instructions or extra features to mess with. Just turn it on, place it where you need it, and you’re good. The alarm is definitely loud enough to get attention if triggered. It’s pretty basic and no frills, but honestly that’s part of the appeal. Overall, a simple, portable security option that does exactly what it’s supposed to. The motion sensor seems accurate and sensitive enough. The battery life has been excellent. It functions as expected and no apps or remotes are needed for connectivity.

Good and basic
This is a basic, self contained motion alarm and it works as advertised. The alarm is loud and definitely effective at drawing attention if motion is detected. Setup is straightforward using the keypad, and I like that it does not rely on an app, WiFi, or a remote. The main downside is the lack of a power on or off switch. If you are not using it continuously, the only way to fully disable it is to remove the batteries, which requires a small screwdriver. That is inconvenient if you plan to move it around or use it intermittently for travel or storage.Overall, it is a simple and loud motion alarm that does provide security, but the battery management design could be much more user friendly.

It’s a loud, lightweight, and portable alarm, you can hang it or put it on a table or shelf
Before I could unwrap it the plastic window caved and I had a heck of a time getting it out, the plastic window is very flimsy. The alarm is very loud, which is good & can help startle the person (allowing them to flee) and wake up the person in the home giving them to to take whatever actions are necessary to safeguard them and their family. I like that it can be mounted or sat on the shelf or counter. Anything that will help protect my home, area, space gets a thumbs up in my book. It’s lightweight, so easy to move from room to room, or take with you, if you’re going to a hotel or air bnb. The price is a little high considering the quality could be a little better. Should have read all of the directions as it states before I started tinkling with it, so that was on me, but overall it’s not a bad alarm. I’d give it 3.75 starts, I’m vision impaired, so the buttons/numbers are super tiny, I may end up setting it off, just trying to get to the numbers in time 😒🥺, but that’s life, you move with it.

This thing is very loud. It will definitely alert you.
Overall, the small and compact it doesn’t take much room. The volume on this thing is very loud. It’s definitely enough range to wake you up and alert anybody nearby. It’s nice that it’s something I can travel with and put it in a hotel room or an Airbnb. It’s easier to program a very functional and you can place it in any direction in any room where you feel you want to be alerted such as a back door or front door or window. The design is very simple and the buttons are on the front of the device making it very easy to program. For that extra added security, it’s definitely worth the value.

This is a basic motion sensor alarm that can be used freestanding for portability (e.g on a shelf) and for moving around different locations. I note that it can also be purchased as model with a wall mounting bracking fixing, but you could also do the same using double sided tape affixed to a suitable surface, or with hook and loop velcro tape -if you don’t want to use the supplied wall plugs and screws. You will need to add your own batteries (2 x AAA) by withdrawing the battery cover using a small Phillips screwdriver. Set up is simple, and here I must compliment the manufacturer on the quality of the instruction leaflet supplied. It’s well written and easy to follow, so i’m not going to regurgitate here what you can read for yourself. As for operating the alarm, you can use the default 3 digit code or set up your own preference with the option of the alarm sound or a doorbell chime as best suited to your chosen location. The alarm sound is very loud, but you can adjust it to your preference of High, Medium or Low.The alarm is suited for indoor use only as it’s not waterproof. I’ll use it in a shed used for storing garden furniture, and will be interested to see how it performs during warmer weather. Having tried other shed alarms that kept giving false alerts I reverted to a door contact alarm which has proved more reliable. That does go through the batteries when the shed is regularly being accessed though. My advice, in any shed situation is to locate your sensor alarm away from any ventiltion draughts and avoiding any direct sunlight e.g. not opposite a window. (If your shed is a plastic construction, as many are nowadays you may need a bit of trial and error as to what works because inside temperatures do build up inside these sheds. Note that the alarm is stated as not being suitable beyond 35 degrees C).To conclude, this alarm is easy to set up and use but functionality may be dictated by limitations of your proposed location. Priced at £15.99 currently this alarm does seem good value for what you’re getting.

Review for Mosaic Alarm 135dB freestanding keypad motion sensor: This small 2@ AA battery powered (not included) unit is perfect for either using as an entry alarm or a motion chime. The alarm is fairly loud and very noticeable when set to the loudest setting. It can be easily activated or deactivated with a 4-digit keypad passcode that you can personally choose. I like this sensor for its motion chime option. It’s perfect for stores and businesses that wish to be alerted every time a customer enters. I set this sensor up near my cat’s exterior door, so I know every time he goes out or comes in. It’s setup close enough to pick up his motion, but far enough away to not disturb him by the chime, which I set at the lowest volume. This can be a very useful device for attracting attention if someone enters an area you wish to protect. It’s small enough to be placed anywhere, while having a decent sensing range. This sensor is the standalone version, so it doesn’t come with a wall mounting device or remote control. If you wish to have those extra accessories, you’ll need to order the full kit option.

Freestanding Motion Sensor Alarm for Indoor Home Security – Portable Battery-Operated Alert for TravelI was interested in ordering this product for its on the go/portable security system. I thought this would be handy to have when traveling, and for times when I was wanting/needing an extra sense of security and peace of mind.• My first impression of this motion sensor alarm was that it matches the image and product description. Upon handling and testing of the device, I could not help but think that it felt more like a working child’s toy, rather than a security alarm that I would rely on for safety/protection. It is very light weight and looks inexpensive. The passive infrared detector feels like a thin piece of plastic that a candle would come packaged in. Personally, this does not feel or look to be an accepted level or standard that I can trust with my security/protection.• The user manual is well articulated, and is easy to follow. It is very descriptive, and it explains all setup and device functions in great detail. • I did not find this device to sound overly reliable for home or travel security. *Note: The user guide states “This is a PIR (Passive Infrared) heat-sensing siren … The greater the temperature difference between the detected human body and the ambient environment, the more easily it can be detected. It works better in winter than in summer … avoid direct sunlight or positioning the sensor towards heat sources like air conditioning vents or radiators.” It also mentions that larger body sizes are more easily sensed. It leaves me wondering how well this will be at sensing. Also, I will need to be conscious of changing sunlight throughout the day, and possible changes in room temperatures when deciding on its placement.• Once you have armed the motion sensor alarm, you will have 30 seconds before it will flash and make a sound notifying you that it has entered into the “ARM” state. Once armed, if the “PIR” senses movement, it will sound the alarm. The alarm sounds once and then stops. It is not a continual sound. It will then, after 30 seconds, go back into the “ARM” state. This means if you did not hear the initial alarm sound, then unless an “intruder” is to walk by it again, you will not know of their presence. The sensor did work surprisingly well when I was testing it out, though. I had it placed in a well heated room, and it was able to sense my presence each time I walked by it. However, when testing the reset time delay, it was inconsistent with sensing my presence.Personally, this product is not for me. It feels more like a working toy to me. This is definitely a better than nothing option. However, I do not feel comfortable relying on this for security or my safety. It does work as described, and for that reason I will not write this product completely off. I think that boils down to each individual’s level of standard. I just do not personally think that this is a reliable option for my indoor home security.
