Best-in-class brightness: The amaran Ray 60c outshines competing ultra-compact COB lights, delivering up to 3,910 lux at 1m without accessories – over 50% increase in output vs. the amaran COB 60x S – while being nearly half the size1. Or pair with the optional Mini Reflector or Mini Fresnel for even more punch
True-to-life color with OmniColor: Powered by the OmniColor light engine, the amaran Ray 60c reproduces light that looks true-to-life – both on camera and to the eye. Small, bright, versatile!
Amazing light for how small it is! Planning to use this as a lightweight kit at weddings. Extremely easy to use and good app support. I attach a v-mount to my stand with a bracket for power and it runs most of the day. I found it surprisingly bright for only a 60w light and am very happy with it, but plan on getting the 120c as well just to have both options. Most of the shoots I’ve done so far I’ve had this at 5% brightness. Well worth the cost for a versatile and portable setup like wedding videography. I’d also recommend the Fresnel Mini accessory.

Portable and powerful.
This light is amazing! Strong and portable! The best part is the RGB. This isn’t just an accent light. It is easily a main light or key light.

Great portable creator light
Perfect for on the go shootings, I’d recommend getting a decent battery

Game-changing app control!
This light is a powerhouse. Bright, beautiful light, solid build, and the app control is insanely smooth and has everything you could want. My only concern is the plastic mount on the softbox. This light doesnt get nearly as hot as other lights and the plastic feels of higher grade so it may be a non-issue. I can definitely recommend this light, especially for creators. As of right now I give it 5 stars and will update if needed.

Weak
Not powerful, go for the 120c… nice system, weak light.

This might get a little technical…The 60W output from this tiny unit is surprisingly punchy, delivering nearly 4,000 lux at 1m without any accessories. The color accuracy is high across a massive 1,800K to 20,000K range, and the “omnicolor” engine does a great job with skin tones. It is impressively small, weighing just over 500g, and the IP54 rating makes it one of the few compact lights you can actually trust in light rain or dusty conditions. The power options are flexible, letting you use the included DC adapter, USB-C PD, or the new Ace E-Lock battery system for a cable free setup. The mounting is versatile as well, featuring a full size Bowens mount for standard modifiers and a 1/4″ thread for smaller tripods. The app integration via NFC is quick and easy making it simple to control an array of lights from a phone…The main issue is the price, at over AU$300, it is a significant step up from the older 60W models. While the fan is quiet it still lacks the absolute silent operation of a passive panel. Also, if you use a USB-C power source that does not meet the full wattage requirements, the light will automatically limit its maximum brightness. All in all, it is a very worthwhile and versatile light.4.5/5 rounded up.

This light is really nice but the handle really lets it down. There is no way of attaching a V-mount battery to this without an extra clamp. Coming from the 60x S which has a V-mount built in, this is disappointing. I thought the strap would have been adjustable to a accommodate bigger batteries etc but I was wrong! Also I use a V Mount Battery 6800mAh 99Wh 14.5V with 100W PD which gave me just about an hour at full power which was pretty good, but then I tried a Power Bank 12000mAh 100W (which fits in the strap) but that only gave me about 20 minutes before cutting out. Clearly V-mount is the easier better option… oh wait you didn’t think about that when designing this! The plate with the strap needed to be attached via a V-mount then you could have taken it off (which would have made storing easier) then you could have mounted V-mount batteries there. Win Win!

10/10 built quality. Love this light already just because it’s so handy. Would recommend this and the ray 120c to any starting creator.
