Quality of PC
I don’t know if a person can run two virtual computers at the same time such as Windows 10 and Ubuntu on VirtualBox. I have a little issue with taking screenshots where one of the keys for taking screenshots gets turned off and I have to use Windows Snipping Tool but it can be managed easily by turning the key back on. Other than that the computer works well. Keyboard works, the 3 USB ports work,16GB RAM works, audio works, etc. I am able to run benchmark hashcat tests in the Terminal Emulator with Kali Linux with this machine.

Solid mid tier gaming laptop(RTX 5060)
Similar performance to a PC I built 6 years ago for upwards of $4k. Its a little big but not as beefy as a gaming laptop I had a decade ago. Battery life is poor but I’m usually stationary by an outlet while gaming anyways and that’s always too be expected for essentially a desktop replacement. All my games run exceptionally well. Also to comment on another review, the CPU is clocked at 2.2ghz initially. A quick bios update, which is generally automatic unless declined, fixes that in 2 minutes and boosts clock speeds up to the advertised 5.2ghz clock speed. Its normal to have to update bios when building a computer for the correct clock speeds, not sure why the laptop doesnt just have the correct firmware to automatically work fully with its CPU.

It reveals itself to you like an ancient artifact.
Could be a bit cheaper but for the price and what it can do this is a fabulous piece of tech. It does get hot a bit quick even with its cooling system, I purchased a nice laptop cooler that helps it stay within safe operating temperatures. I love that you actually able to upgrade the ram on this things, although it would be nice to be able to upgrade all hardware when the time comes. The screen is beautiful I was initially a little disappointed I didn’t get the 4k version due to the price difference but the quality of the screen is incredible, very bright and colorful. Fan stays quiet can’t ever hear it over my headphones. Battery lasts about as long as you would expect, but whenever I do take it over the charger it lasts a solid 2-3 hours before needing to be plugged in and that’s with high intensity gaming. So could potentially be used to school and other activities.

Solid built, fast and plenty of inputs
Have not had it long, not really a hardcore gamer, mostly play WoT, which this is overkill for. I do like the RGB, though the keyboard isn’t the easiest to ready(prefer the keyboard on my MSI thin 15, much easier to see for these old eyes). I use a separate mouse/KB combo so that negates the laptops kb issue for me. Everything else with this Asus is far superior to the MSI. Ease of access to upgrade drive and memory is the major perk with this Asus, it’s a breeze. Added a Samsung 990 2tb NVMe.It has a quality feel, it’s fast, the price was right. Wifi works great, and so far no heating issues. Playing WoT probably isn’t push it much, but it’s sitting on a Klim turbo frost cooling pad, mainly for having filtered air entering the laptop. The laptop fits this cooling pad perfectly and it’s not noisy at all. No issues holding up to my TV using HDMI to get a nice big picture while blowing up tanks.

Good laptop, Will Eventually Need Maintenance
The laptop is very good, comes with some bloatware that needs to be dealt with though. My only gripe is the liquid metal application and poor thermal putty contact on components. If you are not experienced with handling liquid metal and applying putty and or thermal solutions, you’ll want to avoid this and any liquid metal laptop. If you don’t plan on carrying or roughly handling the laptop, it will last a fairly long time though, with my case, the model I had, MF date of 2025 of September, started leaking small amounts of liquid metal from the cpu die, and some vrm’s weren’t getting a lot of contact with the factory application of thermal putty.Even with gentle handling, there was still liquid metal touching the protective foam encasing around the die on my model. Eventually I applied a different thermal putty compound and used a phase change material on the cpu die.Outside of that issue, it can run the game’s I want it to comfortably, albeit hotter as liquid metal is still a superior thermal compound compared to ptm7950.Monster Hunter Wilds (realistically optimized settings) runs at 60fps, Warhammer 40k also runs smooth at 60 fps as well (capped).

DO NOT HESITATE! Awesome laptop!! Honestly…
Been using this for a little over a week now, the RTX 5060 performs superb! The screen is beautiful! Especially for being a laptop screen compared to an OLED display or monitor, it looks GREAT, the colors and overall image are very sharp lookingAll of my games( AAA titles or otherwise) run at high or ultra settings with high frame rates and no stutter! Going to be upgrading ram and storage down the lineRuns GTA V Enhanced on High RT over 100fps in most scenariosI’ve also run Warframe with the “high preset” and runs over 120fpsit looks beautiful and performs beautiful! I’m very picky when it comes to frame rate/graphics(coming from an avid desktop user…I have high expectations)and this laptop performs as good or better than it looks! I’m impressedThe speakers aren’t super impressive, and aren’t super loud or anything I wish they were a little better, but they’re not terrible by any means, just not super LOUD, most gamers would probably be using a headset anyway for voice chat/streaming/gameplay anyway…don’t let this steer you away, this is a great laptop despite not having “the best sound system in the world”I Don’t notice any excessive fan noise or overheating issues of any kindI’m using it everyday for gaming and I can’t leave it alone! When I have lan parties at friends houses, my trusty machine comes with me!I’m always excited to open the lid, plug it in and start gaming! The RGB lighting is gorgeous! It’s also fun to show off to friends and family ;)I’ve owned many gaming laptops over the last 12 years or so, this is my second machine with an 5060 in it, and this one has been my favorite! Better than any of the rest!

I needed a powerful laptop for engineering. Compared to other gaming laptops, the Asus ROG is more premium and compact, making it more enjoyable to use. So far, no issues.
