A Very Happy Surprise
I ordered this Upgraded 30W Outdoor Bluetooth Speakers with 7 LED Modes&Solar Charging | Home Decor with Ground Stakes for Patio | Multi-Sync 100 Speakers IPX7 Waterproof 20H Playtime | Ideal Outdoor Gifts – 2 PACK to use in my backyard.I’llbe honest. I was not expecting much when I ordered these speakers. My surprise began even before I opened the box — the box felt far too heavy to contain what I expected. These speakers definitely have some heft to them. I don’t know if the weight is caused by the magnets in the speakers, or by the built in batteries, but there is no mistaking these for some cheap toy.I really wanted to give these a try as soon as I received them, but I decided to give them a full charge first. About two hours after I plugged them in (they charge via USB-C), the charging light went off. I took a quick look at the tiny user manual just to make sure I wouldn’t do something stupid. I turned on the first speaker, paired it with my phone (an easy, quick, and seamless procedure) and then turned on the second speaker. Then I started a grunge rock playlist. Clean bass. Crist, shimmering highs. Perfect stereo separation. Plenty of volume.There are two ways that you can mount these speakers. You can use the included stakes. The stakes are sturdy enough to handle the weight of the speakers. Or, you can hang the speakers using the included hooks. Based on the layout of my yard, my choice is sto hang them from my patio’s overhang. The sound produced by the speakers is omnidirectional. The tops of the speakers are covered with a solar panel that, according to the manufacturer, will get you an additional 2 hours of play time. Because I am hanging my speakers under the eaves, it is unlikely that I’ll be utilizing the solar panels. Based on their rather small size, I’d guess that getting 2 hours of additional play time would require spending all day in direct sunlight. I should mention, though, that these are nothing like the flimsy panels that you’ll find on inexpensive garden lights and the like. These panels almost seem as though they are part of the speaker and don’t look like anything that will be negatively affected by sitting out in the weather.These speakers also feature some lighting effects. Honestly, I’m not generally a fan of lighting effects on anything other than… well… lights. There is an app that you can download to control these speakers, but I was able to access all of the features using the buttons on the speakers themselves. I generally avoid using apps that are proprietary, particularly when I know nothing about the company that produced them.If you’re looking for a set of good looking, good sounding, and sturdy Bluetooth speakers, and you’re not trying to spend the least possible amount of money, you should take a close look at these. Whether you plan to hang them in your yard, mount them on the ground stakes, place them in your garage, of even keep them on a shelf as a primary or secondary speaker system, I think you’ll be happy with these.

Great Sound and Fun Patio Lighting
So I really wasn’t sure how much I was going to like these at first, but they ended up impressing me way more than I expected. I’ve had them for about a month now and they have been great for outdoor use. The sound is clear, they get plenty loud for a patio or backyard, and having two of them synced together gives a much fuller sound than I expected from speakers in this style.I also really like that these pull double duty as lights. The different LED modes actually make them fun to use at night, and the flame style effect is probably my favorite. They add a nice atmosphere without feeling like some cheap gimmick. I like that I can either hang them up, set them on a surface, or use the included stakes depending on where I want them.Pairing them was pretty easy overall, and once they were connected they stayed connected well. That said, the initial syncing may take a little fiddling depending on your device, so that is worth mentioning. It was not enough of an issue for me to take away a star since once everything was set up they worked exactly how I wanted.The build quality also feels better than I expected. They have a nice weight to them and feel like they were actually made for outdoor use, not like some flimsy plastic decoration. The waterproof design is a big plus too since I don’t want to have to panic over a little rain or splashing near the patio or pool.As for the solar charging, I look at that more as a nice bonus than the main way to keep them charged. It is handy for topping them off outside, but I still think of USB-C as the primary charging method. Battery life has been solid for me, and I have had no complaints there.Overall I’m very happy with these. They sound good, look nice, and feel durable. For a two-pack with the lighting features and outdoor-friendly build, I think these are priced fairly and give good value for what you get. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting an easy way to add both sound and ambiance outside.
