Smart plugs work well and integrate well into the Govee app
I have been using these for a little over 7 months now and they work well. Setting them up is not terribly difficult (once you setup the 1st one the rest are easy to setup). App works well and has great functionality (you can set schedule, turn on/off manually, set a timer, etc). If I ever need to buy more, I will definitely purchase Govee smart plugs. I have these at my vacation home and use them to turn on/off fans to keep air circulating while I am gone for long stretches. So far they work great and I can manage all of the fans through the app.

A Smart Plug for non smart things
With nearly all lighting and vacuuming at The 608 automated this Christmas we found ourselves with several devices that were not smart and required one to flip a switch, tap a button or plug in to turn on.I mean come on this isn’t the late 1900’s anymore.Thankfully @GOVEE had a solution.This is the H5083 Smart Plug.Govee has several options for smart plugs but these are fairly small. Generally you can still use the other plug on your outlet with one of these installed.As you can see they’re fairly simple looking.The app is pretty minimal has a few timers.These work via WiFi and Bluetooth. Can be controlled via voice from Google and Alexa and has a manual button.Alexa works pretty well. Little slow to turn on but I think that’s our lights and not the plug.And the button works great.Overall a useful little product for the non-smart electronics in your home. With a price around $7.50 a piece on a 4 pack they’re relatively affordable.

I’ve been using the Govee Smart Plug for a few weeks now, and overall it’s been a reliable, easy-to-use addition to my smart home setup.Setup & ConnectivityRight out of the box, setup was smooth. The plug connects to my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network quickly, and the Govee app walks you through the process step-by-step. Once connected, it shows up in the app as well as in both Alexa and Google Assistant, so controlling it with voice commands works without any issues.Features & PerformanceThe timer and scheduling features are particularly useful. I’ve set routines for my lamp and fan — lights turn on in the evening and the fan turns off automatically at night. The “group” feature allows multiple plugs to act together, which is handy if you want several devices to switch on/off simultaneously.The plug itself feels solid and doesn’t block the second outlet on my power strip, which is always appreciated. Good plug, just a little overpriced
I already have a bunch of Govee stuff, so this was easy to add into the setup. The app works well and it connected pretty quickly without any issues. Being able to control it with Alexa is nice too, and the timer/scheduling features are super useful for things like lamps or chargers.It does exactly what you’d expect a smart plug to do — no complaints on performance. Everything has been reliable so far and I haven’t had any disconnects.Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It’s solid, but for what it is, I feel like it should be a little cheaper. However if youre using the govee ecosystem its great for the convenience.

Great brand and product
I love these plugs. This is the 3rd set of singles I have bought and I have 2 double outlets and they all work great. Something I love about these outlets is they are very stable and rarely disconnect from wifi. Solid brand. The set up is super easy as well. You do need to have the Govee app to set up and then you can use the Alexa app, which I prefer to do. These work great with routines just like any other smart device. You can also manually turn on and off your outlet by pressing the small side button. These are 3 prong outlets so not compatible with a 2 prong polarized.

Super easy set up with stable WiFi connections
I have used Kasa bulbs, plugs, and wall switches for years. Their setup can be a bit of a pain but most importantly, their WiFi seems weak, making the connections unstable. I changed to Govee, which I found setup to be super fast and WiFi to be more stable. A key component in the Govee design is the use of Bluetooth which allows for instant connection and activation even if WiFi disconnects, but so far all of my bulbs and plugs have stable connections.

I’ve been using the Govee Smart Plug 4‑pack around my home for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the easiest smart‑home upgrades I’ve made. Setup was quick—just plug them in, open the app, and they paired without any frustration. The combination of WiFi and Bluetooth made the process feel smoother than other smart plugs I’ve tried.I use one of the plugs in my living room to control a floor lamp that doesn’t have a built‑in dimmer. Being able to turn the lamp on with my voice as I walk in—especially when my hands are full after coming home from work—has been surprisingly handy. Another plug went into the kitchen, where I connected it to a small coffee maker. I set up a simple timer so it turns on automatically in the morning, which honestly helps kick‑start my day without having to think about it.I also put one in my workspace. I’m really happy with this product. The setup was quick and very easy, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. The instructions were clear, and I had everything connected within minutes.One of the best features is how smoothly it works with Amazon Alexa. Connecting it to Alexa was simple, and being able to control it with voice commands makes everyday use very convenient. The plug seems to work well and I haven’t had any connectivity issues. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi. I really like that they provide an API key upon request. The app is not terrible but could really use a hard look by a UX designer because the workflows are pretty unintuitive and not super flexible. I really had to get the old noodle churning to cludge together a solution via ios shortcuts. Worked in the end though and I’m happy with it. I’d recommend putting these guys on your guest network if you have one.
