Ultra Reliable Encoder 1yr Continuous Operation
We have been using for a multicast video channel. Need to get the updated firmware to fix a bug that makes the image a little fuzzy. After that its crystal clear. This box has been running for almost a single year continuously without ever being rebooted. It just works extremely well.

When I first received this encoder The firmware was incorrect. I assume my box was just an error to what is normally shipped. Support was slow in getting back to me as it is confusing to get support. Their website says to use whatsapp or send an emial to support which I did. After that they tell you to contact their Amazon support. It took 3 days to get their Amazon support person. The time delay way was because of the Chinese new year holiday and getting my message to the proper support person. It was frustrating because all I needed was new firmware which is not available anywhere except from a support person. This was the most frustrating thing to me as I could have fixed my box in 5 minutes if the firmware was simply abailable on a website.I will say this, after I actually got to the correct support person they were great. I was sent the link to the correct firmware and instructions to get it installed. After 5 minutes I was fixed and things are working great.The box streams buetiful and works great. I do wish there were better instructions on what all the options are and what the all do. But steaming worked perfect with just the default settings.Thank you to the support person who was great after we got in touch.

Maybe a lemon? I don’t know. But the unit I got *right at first* did serve up a web page. As soon as I tried to do ANY configuration the web page became completely unresponsive, only giving me the spinning circle of death. “Factory reset” at first would give me back the initial web page, but then it would die again. After a few cycles of this, the factory reset itself failed to work. Returning it as defective.

Great HDMI Encoder, replaces the original Slingbox
This little box allows you to transmit HDMI Video and Audio around the home, office, or to anywhere around the world. Includes many video formats and data rates to assure your apps such as VLC Player will play high quality video on your PC, Phone, or tablet. Has one encoder that allows for 2 streams one high quality and one of a lower but good quality when bandwith is linited. This has other feature like the ability to add a text overlay. The price is significantly less than other encoders with similar features. The limitation is 1080 30fps on this model which is still extremely good. I use the BroadLink remote and app for remote control using my mobile devices.

Lacks network security
Does the job, like the HDMI passthrough, but the network security is very lacking. Log in with defaults, go change the username and password, confirm password, click save, “success”. Close the browser, log back in, it’s forgotten the password I just set. Repeat but keep the default username, change the password, confirm the password, click save, “success”. Close the browser, log back in, doesn’t remember that either! Also annoying that it doesn’t just use DHCP out of box like most everything else.

安価なネットワークビデオレコーダーと５台の同じく安価なIPカメラで防犯システムを設置したのですが、ネットセキュリティの観点からインターネットと切り離した独立したネットワークとしHDMIモニターで一括して見るようにしました。しかしいつでもPCやどこにいてもスマホで見られるようにしたいと思い、hdmiビデオをOBSやサーバーアプリでストリーミングするようにしたのですがPCが２台必要であったり都度立ち上げが面倒で結局本製品にたどり着きました。設定は特に面倒なことはなくIPを変更して家庭内LANに接続し２４時間安定動作しています。ゲームなどではないので接続開始時間、遅延は問題なく、凶悪事件が多発するご時世、多少の安心感です。耐久性はこれからです。
