“Great laptop for the price — perfect for work and content creation”I’ve been using this Lenovo IdeaPad 1 for a few days and I’m really happy with my purchase. The 15.6” FHD screen is clear and comfortable for long work sessions. The 12GB RAM handles multitasking well — I can have multiple tabs, Canva, and video editing open without issues. The 512GB SSD + 128GB eMMC gives plenty of storage space. Wi-Fi 6 connection is fast and stable. Windows 11 runs smoothly and the included 1-year Office 365 is a great bonus. Lightweight and easy to carry. Great value for students and entrepreneurs working from home.

Good, but needed a LOT of updates to be current and secure…
Overall this is a decent, value oriented basic laptop. It will perform most of the stuff a student needs with a very simple version of MS Office. But at this price, please realize that it isn’t built for games. (That may be a good thing if you want your kid to get their assignments finished on time ;0) To save some ca$h, I bought the “Used – Like New” version. The laptop I received probably had an older “generic image” of software reloaded for resale. As such, it required a couple years’ worth of Windows 11 updates, which can be frustrating. After a few failed attempts including one infamous Microsoft BSOD, I finally got the thing running reliably stable. But that took quite some time researching and downloading additional “update repair” software readily available at Microsoft’s websites after following advice from user forums. In my experience this is not unusual with MS. Their products have to work on many different brands of machines, which is not an easy thing to achieve. If you want a sturdy metal frame “good to go right out of the box” machine, buy a refurbed, slightly older Apple laptop for a little bit more. I’ve had several of those too. Apple has tight controls on both their hardware and software products. They work well and last a long time… As they say, “You pay for what you get!”

Bought this lenova one year ago . Freezes at least once every time i use it . Always has . Have to restart . No – I don’t know what I’m doing ,but never had this problem with any other laptop . Doesn’t seem to be a cooling issue .Don’t like the way some things , border lines and others , appear . Resolution is OK . Can’t seem to make scrolling smooth no matter what .Also, I am dumb with this stuff so i think i will probably take my torch to it . It’s cheap . Sorry i bought it .
