Great laptop that can be had at great prices.
Laptop is great, prefer it to my gaming desktop at times. I plug it into my widescreen monitor w the usb to hdmi cable, more for work and school and games. As far as gaming goes I don’t do much, played a few games CS, madden, Ready or Not and never had any issues with anything. I think I got a great deal for this thing, speedy, lightweight, sound is about a 7/10 but hey my $700 Oled doesn’t even include speakers so whose complaining.

great for resource management games
Great laptop. I am a casual gamer, not a hardcore shooter gamer, I like things like Farming Simulator 22, SIMS4, Surviving the Aftermath – resource managers mostly. But I was having a problem with my old lappy not having the speed or graphics support to play them well, and in the came of some games play them at all. This plays every game I have in my collection, and will keep me going for a couple years according to my harder core gaming friends. Not what they might pick for themselves but for my level and my needs it’s perfect.

Good PC for price
Nice computer, great graphical power for a laptop, I use this mostly for editing in Blender and Unity more than a gaming computer which I use my desktop for since its way more powerful. Though this computer does what I ask it to do.It may take a bit to update, it looks like its always stuck at 0% but windows is doing its thing so let it go. Its a heavy system for being called a MSI Thin, but the 4050 makes it worth it.Update:Had this laptop for a while now and nothing so bad with it, everything’s worked top peak condition on it, the only annoying part is the outlet of the fan being on the left side that’s usually where I keep my phone when editing in Unity and Blender which is what I got this laptop for, and it gets my phone too toasty.

Good hardware, questionable plastic case
I needed a laptop that could/would run Windows 11 and was cheap. I have 1 count them 1 program that HAS to have windows 11 (cough cough intuit cough cough) because it’s more “secure”. So this showed up in the Amazon suggestions and it’s a good collection of hardware (small hard drive but it’s not embarrassed). It’s called a “gaming” laptop and with a 4050 gpu you could use it for one, but a 15″ screen? This laptop however, in my opinion, is a little on the “plastic” side. I have several MSI laptops, all gaming laptops (I buy gaming laptops because they come with Ethernet ports), and they are solid hefty laptops, I wouldn’t have a second thought about putting on in a backpack. This laptop, I would use lots of padding, the case feels like it would shatter on the first drop. I won’t be hauling this around, and this was a good deal. I did upgrade the hard drive to a 1tb. It’s working fine. I’m happy with the laptop. It does what I needed.

Not bad for the price
While overall I’m pleased with the laptop, the initial setup was kind of a nightmare. Windows would not get past the downloading updates when I first turned the laptop on. Is this a Windows problem or laptop problem? I don’t know but I’ve built many desktop PC’s with Windows 11 never had any issues setting up. With that said I had to setup Windows as a local account just to even get to the desktop through the command prompt.After getting all drivers installed the laptop performs fairly well. Battery life with the RTX 4050 enabled is about 2 hours. Very surprised how well the 4050 performs. DLSS and Frame Gen is absolutely needed though.For those who want 4 – 5 hours of battery life on this laptop when not gaming: DISABLE the RTX 4050 in MSI Center. You can just re-enable the GPU when you want to game. Very easy.Build quality seems average. Reports of hinge issues, so always make sure to open the lid gently from the middle. Picture quality on the screen seems great. Black levels are fairly good. Keyboard feels nice to type on.
