Impressive range mini mic
I’ll be honest — I originally had a completely different review planned for this mic set. I had everything filmed, the whole nine yards. But while I was working on another review, I decided to do a real-world test on the fly, and that completely changed my opinion.I have a 12×30-foot steel building in my backyard next to my hot tub, and that’s where the camera was set up. As I was walking around the building, talking the whole time, the audio never dropped. That alone caught my attention. The reason I was walking around the building in the first place is because I have a dog, and I occasionally get raccoons coming through the yard. I was doing a quick check to make sure everything was clear, and it hit me — let me test the range on these microphones.I’ve used other wireless mics that absolutely do not work through that building. There’s no line of sight, and it’s a full steel structure, so I expected the signal to drop. It didn’t. Not once.At the furthest point, I was about 60 feet away, completely blocked by the building, and there was zero signal cutout. You can hear that clearly in the video. That honestly messed with my head a little — in a good way. Now, your mileage may vary if you’re in a very congested 2.4GHz environment with lots of Wi-Fi traffic. In my case, I run three repeaters, but they’re all on 5GHz. Even so, I was seriously impressed. This impressed me enough that I changed the entire direction of my review. And no, it’s not just because it’s Neewer — I’m not trying to be a fanboy here. The performance earned it.The video itself is short (under a minute), but the range test alone sold me. Add in the excellent noise cancellation and clean, crisp sound, and this turned into a very impressive mic set.Bottom line: I wasn’t expecting this result at all, and that’s what made it stand out.

Solid lav mic, works like it says
this mic just works. everything paired up right out of the box. setup was basically plug-and-play…didnt have to download an app or go through any tedium to get things to sync. I tested it with a phone and laptop and seemed to work fine without any noticeable latency. the sound is clean enough for casual content or zoom calls, and the range is longer that i’ll ever need, even indoors.build quality feels decent too. the case is light but doesn’t feel cheap, and the mics are small enough that they don’t tug at your shirt or flap around when you move. battery seems pretty good. i’ve used it for a couple of hours at a time without needing a recharge.nothing fancy, but nothing frustrating either. and that’s kind of perfect for what i needed.

Yet Another Impressive NEEWER Product – Great For Amateur Creators
NEEWER is a name that I hadn’t heard of 6 months ago, but it’s a name I look for now any time I am looking for photography and videography equipment. I’ve tested and reviewed numerous NEEWER-brand lighting solutions and tripod(s), all of which have punched well above their price tag in terms of quality, and this wireless lapel mic set is no exception.Sound quality is pleasantly warm with enough detail to keep speech clear. Indoors, voices come through cleanly with almost no hiss. Outside, the noise‑cancellation levels make a noticeable difference. The higher setting trimmed down the rush of passing cars during a sidewalk recording. The furry windscreens help with breeze noise, though getting them seated takes a moment because they need to align with the tiny mic port. I also liked having the mute and mono/stereo buttons right on the unit since I switch setups mid‑recording fairly often.Battery life has been strong. After a few sessions, one of them about 40 minutes long, I still had plenty of charge left in the case. Range held steady as well. I walked across a small open field with the transmitter on my collar and didn’t hear any obvious dropouts. The NEEWER View app adds tools like a low‑cut filter and vocal enhancement. The layout isn’t immediately intuitive, but after a couple minutes of poking around, the settings stayed put.Overall, this system offers a nice balance of size, ease of use, and audio quality. This isn’t going to be a suitable replacement for semi-serious to serious recording equipment, but for the price, it should suit most amateur content creators really well.

Good compact wireless lav mics
The Neewer KM19 is an excellent compact wireless mic set (with charging case) for the small creator; however, they do have the limitation of having no internal recording–these are just very basic Bluetooth transmitters and a receiver that must be plugged into a device providing power. The audio quality is very good and (at short range) transmittance is consistent and clear. In a side-by-side comparison with the CM28, the KM19 provided far better audio with the bare device (the CM28 was superior with a 3rd party 3.5mm omnidirectional mic attached). That said, it is difficult to justify the cost without the additional bells and whistles. The KM19 comes at about a 30% savings compared to the CM28, and though more compact, loses the ability to record internally and cuts the (line of sight) range roughly in half. To be pointed: neither produces the audio clarity of their popular competitor, but the KM19 is closer to it out of the box at the cost of range and features.

This dual wireless lapel mic set performs well for casual recording on both phone and PC. It is a clear step up from using a phone’s built-in microphone, especially for voice clarity.Stereo recording works, but with a caveat. On Android, specifically tested with a Pixel 8, it did not appear to record in stereo. On PC using Audacity, stereo recording worked as expected, confirming the hardware is capable even if mobile support is inconsistent. I didn’t bother with the app to see if it changed any functionality. I generally avoid using apps for things that should be plug and play.Even in mono, performance is good. Compared to cheaper dual-mic kits, there is no noticeable phasing or chorus effect when both mics are used close together, which is a common issue at this price point.Noise reduction is present but comes with tradeoffs:• Without noise reduction, audio includes background noise but speech remains clear and natural• With noise reduction enabled, background noise is reduced effectively• Speech quality takes a noticeable hit, sounding compressed or slightly underwaterIt works best as a tool to reduce distractions rather than something that produces studio-quality isolation. The charging case is functional and organizes the receiver and both microphones neatly, though it does resemble earbud cases. The case displays its own charge level, but there is no clear indication of the charge status for the microphones themselves.A useful detail is the magnetic design. With a small piece of metal, the mics can be mounted to clothing without using the clip, which avoids creasing fabric. This is not included, but easy to improvise.Key points:• Clear improvement over built-in phone microphones• Stereo works on PC, inconsistent on Android• Good mono performance without phasing issues• Noise reduction helps but reduces audio quality• Convenient charging case, limited mic status indicatorsOverall, this is a capable and practical wireless mic system at its price point. It is not a replacement for higher-end audio gear, but for casual recording, interviews, or content creation, it performs well and is easy to use.

I have tried a few different types of these; my favourite so far has been the DJI Mic 2 mini which I’ve seen a lot of online content creators use. This ‘Neewer’ one weighs in at a similar price point so think it’s fair to make a comparison (admittedly you get two with this). It comes with a soft slip case, though of the type where you just chuck everything in rather than having compartments like the DJI version. It comes with adaptors to lightning (less useful these days) and a short USB-C extension to get around phone cases (much more useful). There’s also a USB-A to C cable, I would have preferred a USB-C to USB-C but I’ve got plenty of them around the house.Portability-wise they’re easy to handle and very lightweight when clipped to clothing (I’m not doing that daft trend of holding it like a full mic).Confusingly, each mic/transmitter’s power button is called ‘Set’ but it connected up straight away (can’t take a photo of my phone using my phone)Using ‘Pro Video’ mode on my Samsung, they’re recognised as USB mics. It doesn’t block the audio output from the phone (it at least seems to recognise there is no audio output on the receiver, unlike an old Rode mic I have). There is a good sound presence and mid tones out of the box without any post-production being required – the DJI is quite tinny I tend to find.Couple of frustrations – the receiver is phone powered and can’t be charged (the DJIs can be used standalone via Bluetooth which gives you a bit more flexibility). Additionally, I cannot find a way to view the battery percentage of the case without it being plugged in.All in all a good pair of mics for budding content creators at a reasonable price.Sound quality wise, they’re

The KM19 immediately stands out for its extremely small footprint. The transmitters are about the size of earbuds, which makes them easy to forget once clipped to a collar. They’re light enough that I don’t feel them at all while wearing them, which is a real advantage for longer recordings. The only trade off is psychological rather than functional — they’re so small that I do find myself being extra careful not to drop or misplace them. That’s a good problem to have, but it’s worth noting.Out of the box, setup is straightforward. Plugging the receiver directly into a phone and recording with the built in voice recorder produced clean, usable audio right away. Voice reproduction is clear, there’s no audible clipping or distortion, and the microphones capture sound evenly across frequencies. This doesn’t feel like a voice only mic that aggressively narrows the sound profile; instead, it captures background and environmental sounds naturally and clearly, which is useful depending on the recording context.Noise cancelling can be controlled either from the side button on the transmitter or through the companion app, but the app is noticeably easier to use. In the app, it’s also possible to switch between mono and stereo recording, which adds flexibility for different recording scenarios. The interface makes it simple to adjust settings without memorizing button press combinations. With noise cancelling enabled, the KM19 does a good job removing steady background noise such as low droning sounds. However, this comes with a trade off: there is a subtle electronic character introduced into the voice. The speech remains very intelligible, but it is no longer completely natural sounding. Whether this is acceptable depends entirely on the goal of the recording. For clarity in noisy environments, the processing is helpful. For the most natural voice capture, disabling noise cancelling produces the cleanest, most transparent result.Overall, the KM19 performs very well. Audio quality is clear, the microphones are discreet and comfortable to wear, and the app adds useful control without being mandatory. Noise cancelling is effective, but not free — it improves clarity at the cost of some natural voice texture. For anyone prioritizing portability, ease of use, and flexibility in a compact wireless microphone, this is a strong and thoughtfully designed option.

This microphone set comes in a small box and all the bits needed to get started and use.It is very compact size wise, comparable to the same as ear buds. The set comes with a USB-C plug-and-play receiver (RX), two transmitters (TX), and a charging case. You will also get adapters for older Apple products which is super handy! It is compatible with android and apple, tablets, and laptops , as well as newer iPhones, Macs, Android phones, tablets and laptops. The sound quality is really clear and that is surprising giving the products price it has 48 kHz/24-bit recording and very good range:It has nose cancelling features which are impressive and gets out noise like wind and background chat, making it ideal for suing outside. The noise reduction works by pressing the button and you can active the mute feature but double pressing the button. There is an RX button which allows user to switch between stereo and mono. The transmitter lasts around 4/6 hours on a full charge, The case can recharge then it takes around an hour or so.Over all it’s. A mid range price and for the okey pretty decent value. They work well and would be ideal for someone just starting out streaming/ interviewing.Based on the above I would recommend this item.

This is a great way to have a portable interviewer kit. Everything you need is enclosed in the charger unit, which recharges as you go. So you can extend the useful life of the microphones by popping htem back into the charger unit and letting them recharge while not in use without any hassle.Connecting everything up is easy, they’re already paired togther. So just plug in the USB C module into your phone and off you go. This saves a lot of hassle when out and about interviewing people quickly without any real hassle or messing about. While it does include an adapter to use with an old iPhone, all my devices are Android so couldn’t try it with that.It comes with a nice carry bag as well to keep recharge cables, spare microphone heads etc in there. Overall a really nicely designed package.
