Great addition to my home sound system
I received the NeoBoomBox as a Christmas gift, and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations.This is not just another Bluetooth speaker. The sound is powerful, clean, and deep — it easily fills the room and works great for gatherings. The bass is strong without distortion, and the highs are crystal clear.What really sets it apart is the touchscreen with Android. I can stream Spotify, YouTube, and more directly on the screen without needing my phone using WiFi. It feels more like a portable entertainment center than a regular speaker. Everything runs smoothly and is very easy to use.The build quality is solid and premium — you can tell this is a high-end product, not cheap plastic. I’ve owned well-known brands before, and NeoBoomBox is on a completely different level.If you’re looking for great sound, smart features, and something truly unique, NeoBoomBox is worth every dollar. Android Music Boombox – Good, but has issues.
SOUNDAs good as any speaker device this size. The sound from this is one of the best features. Also, the device does have Bluetooth and 3.5mm output BUT with the wired output, I could not turn off the device’s speakers. Not a huge deal, but an annoyance.HDMI output and mirroring output was a complete flop. I just gave up on both. Not the reason I bought the device, so I don’t care that it doesn’t work. Someone else might though.There is an SD card slot. I haven’t tried it. I was able to load VLC so I’m sure if I had some local files on the device, I could play them. There is an integrated file manager so access to those files is pretty straight forward.APPS?It looks like an android tablet on its face but it’s not completely accessible as an android system. The play store is limited to the apps provided and you can’t search in the play store for apps that don’t already appear. Why is it so hard to marry an android tablet with a speaker? So, before you get too excited, it’s not as open as you’d expect an android device to be. This is NOT an android tablet for general use (not that it is meant to be). Not all the apps work even through they’ve been preselected. I was specifically looking for plexamp for my network music collection… not available. Plex was there so that was a good workaround.Apps I have running include: Prime Video, YouTube, Plex, Pandora, Spotify, IHeart-Radio, PlutoAmazon Music is no longer compatible with device – The download works but DO NOT try to update it.I didn’t try Apple music.I’ll troubleshoot the HDMI output with the manufacturer. That is odd and if I find a fix, I’ll update here.Overall device has good sound, some limited equalizer resets, good sound but distorts when turned up too loud. Apps are preselected. Bluetooth worked for adding a keyboard. I did not try to bluetooth to external speakers. The 3.5mm audio out works however you can’t turn off the internal speakers when using it. So, it’s a good device especially since I don’t think you’ll find another device with integrated android. I don’t play guitar but the inputs for guitar seems also to fall on the plus side.

Many Questions regarding this box, No easy answers
Instruction manual is not through enough, it references non existent buttons to click on such as a Menu button, which I only found after I connected a keyboard to the boom box,as the box itself doesn’t have any built in way to access the system menu, but the keyboard has a menu button on it !However, that menu doesn’t actually access much of anything regarding system properties, or allow for much of anything else to be done with the box’s programs and features.I am still unable to access the TV and cable and satellite features that are referenced in the owners manual because I can’t find any means to open those features.Also, customer service department number is a message machine, so essentially non existent, with no way to speak with anyone to get my questions about the box answered.Still, 4 star review because there is NO other boom box like this on the market.So many Entertainment Features, including the Direct input for Electric Guitar !!And the price is sooo cheap for everything included that it should be purchased by you even if you don’t have a current need for it.Maybe custom service will see this review and get back to me to answer my questions about the box.I’ll be quiet surprised if they do actually get back to me with answers.

Enigma?
Why would a Tech Manufacturer produce a handsome great sounding audio unit with a abysmally bad operating system? I could list all of the failures, but l will boil it down to one: 1.5 Ram! I have more than that in my cheapest tablet s! After l got it up and running I installed YouTube. It was a little laggy but reasonable. It was downhill from there. Then it was Prime Video that worked initially then it tanked. Forget Spotify! Bluetooth worked well and the SD card player worked Ok if can live without shuffle play option. Then it became a mess! I was debating whether to return the unit but it sounded so good I thought I would try a reset first. That made it useable again. I purchased the unit mainly for YouTube so my plan is to not install any other programs. I don’t think any updates, with such meager Ram, will improve the Smart functions. Thankfully, because of the low cost, you might find that it works for you. Just keep your expectations low.
