These soft box lights offer a great lighting source for videos. They are easily adjusted, always to assemble, and great value for the price point. They are very stable, and I would recommend.

i was using a very unstable cr*ppy light box to take photos for my online business & it was just not doing the job anymore. bought this one on sale & i couldn’t be happier. it is a little top heavy so you have to make sure to position one of the legs in the same direction as the light so it doesn’t tip. but other than that, it’s a great light. the different light hues & brightness is a game changer. now all of my photos look consistent & professional. i would absolutely buy this again. hopefully it holds up so i don’t have to. super easy to put together. it’s a perfect size. the cord could be longer though. i do have to use an extension cord. but other than that & the top heavy issue. no complaints. if you get it on sale, it’s a great value.

Budget Friendly Soft Light
Every component of this light kit feels hampered by the low price point, but it does still deliver a usable product that is cheaper than you’d be able to source in parts. If you’re not a professional and just looking to add additional lighting to a shoot without breaking the bank, this may be what you’re looking for, and I’ll break down my review by each of the various parts.The Tripod:The tripod is at a usable height, holding the light just under 6, which is good for portrait work. It folds up small and tightens at the adjustment points. It’s very light; almost too light, as it can barely hold the weight of the light box. I had to turn the tripod to keep one leg forward in order keep it from tipping. I wouldn’t recommend using this outdoors, as any breeze would risk it blowing over. Indoors, it will stay in place as long as it’s not bumped.The Hood:The hood opens like an 4-post umbrella, which is a good design for portability, but the fully open position stops just shy of holding the sides really tight. The interior has a reflective material, which helps put more of the light forward, though the bulb sits a bit too far forward in the fully opened position to utilize the full reflective surface, and so it’s just a marginal amount of reflection. Still, any extra light is welcome.The Bulb:This is really the heart of the setup, and the bulb does offer a lot of functionality. The bulb can switch between a warm (slightly yellow), a white, and a cool (slightly blue) color setting depending on your needs. The bulb puts out ample light at full brightness and is adjustable to a 50% and 25% brightness settings. The bulb has its own built-in diffuser to help scatter some of the light, though it is still too focused without using the additional fabric diffuser.The Diffuser:The diffuser is a cloth material that velcros to the outside of the hood. It does an Ok job, but I wish it were better at scattering the light as the bulb is still pretty harsh at full brightness. It’s always going to be a trade-off between scattering light and blocking light, but I think this diffuser could be a bit thicker to better distribute the light.The Remote:A remote at this price point was not expected, though it is necessary to cycle the bulb between all of its settings. The buttons are laid out well, and it’s easy to find the option you’re looking for. I didn’t have any of the problems with buttons not responding that I saw in other reviews; I always got the intended result from each button press. It might be an issue with batteries or at too great a distance. I used fresh batteries and stayed within 10′ of the light. I found the remote to work well.I was trying to decide between three and four stars, as I would put this light kit at just an adequate rating in terms of functionality. However, I am taking cost into account, and for the cost, I think you are going to get a very usable light kit for basic photo work. So all things considered, I put it at four stars. There is room for improvement, as long as it remains budget-friendly.

Great photography lighting!
This light helped me take a great photo indoors. I use a Canon Rebel T100 camera for personal use. I needed to add some extra lighting to take a professional photo. It was very easy to set up and use!
