    Easy and very good quality
Super high quality camera. I previously bought the Blink version of this camera and I was so impressed with how much better the Wyze camera is in just about every way. It’s rechargeable and the battery lasts like 2 months of continuous recording and alerts! It never loses connectivity with the Blink camera did every day. It always detects motion events and notifies me every time. Great video quality and sound is clear as day. I love this camera for the price and I’d probably pay three times the price for this quality device. Easy setup too

No sound detection Can’t run off of USB C while on the wall Alexa doorbell doesn’t work.
I’m totally blind. I got this in hope of swapping out the Blink doorbell!Update as of 1/5/26.There was one update from the time I got this. I did put in an SD card and mounted this on my wall ware the old Blink stuff was. This semes to pick up as good. I did find out when you press the doorbell button, this will not trigger the Alexa doorbell chime. So this doesn’t work at all even after the last update. From what I’ve been told, the video is good. This is running off an 24V 12W power cable for doorbells and looks to be working well. I’ve been using it on the wall for about 2 or so weeks. I did have one case, ware the doorbell said there wasn’t an SD card in it when there was. Had to pop out the SD card and put it back in, The doorbell hasn’t done that again. It does pick up most items. The pick up on the Left as far as I can tell, isn’t that great! The motion has to proceed quite away towards the middle of the camera before it will log it as motion. That is even with it on AC power. Wyze says on AC power, it is to give you 3 to 6 second preroll video but as far as I can tell, that isn’t the case at all. The video starts maybe 1 3 by 3 brick away from the porch. So if the preroll stuff was working, the video should be much longer than what it is. Now of corce I’m only basing that on what I’ve had people tell me who have looked at the video’s. The camera isn’t aimed down the sidewalk but across the sidewalk. So again, being the Wyze stuff as far as I know, detects stuff going across the camera! I feel the video should be picking up much earlyer than what it is. It does seme to pick up tackages as far as when I walk out to get one, it will tell me person and package. But not when it is dropped off. It just says person.Still only give it 1 out of 5 stars. More reliable than Blink at least for me. Now when they get the Alexa doorbell chime working, then I’ll upgrade my review again.Initial review. The USB C connecter is on the back of the unit behind a rubber flap near the top side if you are looking at the back of the unit. The Micro SD card slot is on the bottom left on the back of the doorbell behind a rubber flap. The bottom right is the setup button. This does not support 5G networks. So you need to use 2.4G.I was able to get it out of the package and got it set up. One thing I miss that the Wyze V4 has and this one doesn’t have. This one you cannot get the option to trigger off of sound. This would be nice to have. Some other brands do have this ability and so does the Wyze V4. But why Wyze didn’t put that as an option in this, I don’t know why. Also Wyze at least to me leads you to think that you can run this off of USB C power. This isn’t the case at all. Well at least wile it is on the wall. Their isn’t good clearance to be able to run this off of USB C power. As of now, I’ve not put it on the wall. I want to get an Micro SD card to put in it first and also get an AC to doorbell power supply in hopes it will power the doorbell.Gave it 1 stars at this point in time do to the fact it doesn’t have any sound detection and other Wyze camera and doorbells do.Also Wyze is falling sort on saying they are committed to having Accessibility but a totally blind person cannot go into live view on the camera and turn on the speaker and or the microphone to be able to talk to someone at the door. Can’t even do that with Video playback either. The only nice thing is you can turn on Voice over IP calls so when someone presses the doorbell button, your phone rings like you are getting a telephone call and you can then answer it. But the down side to this, the live stream doesn’t start at that point. If you have your phone locked, you must unlock the phone after you answer the call before the Wyze software will connect and you can then talk to the camera. The battery as far as I can tell isn’t replaceable. So wants it goes; You have to replace the doorbell.

Finally found a doorbell that shows everything
I bought this because I wanted something reliable and easy to install at my place and it is honestly such a huge upgrade. As someone who works in tech I really appreciate how fast the setup was because it literally took a minute to get it connected to my wifi. The head to toe view is a total game changer because I can actually see if a package is sitting right against the door instead of just seeing the top of someone’s head. The color night vision is surprisingly clear and I love that I get specific alerts for people or vehicles so I am not checking my phone for every single leaf that blows by. It is really nice being able to check the live feed on my phone while I am at work or finishing up at the gym. The battery life has been great so far and I love that I did not have to mess with any complicated wiring. It is a solid piece of tech for a great price.

    Another good wyze product!
I like Wyze products, I first got an indoor camera so I could monitor my cats while away on vacation. Now I have several that I use throughout the house, mostly to monitor the cats but they’re good for home security too. They’re easy to set up and the app is easy to set up and use. You pay $3/mo per device or $13/mo for unlimited cloud storage and app services. You can also install an SD card to the camera if you don’t want to pay for the additional services, but I like the cloud-based aspect and how easy it is to view footage on my phone. The doorbell in particular was easy to install wirelessly (I did not connect it to my home’s doorbell system). The app instructed me how to mount the hardware and clip on the camera. I do wish that the camera attached more securely to the house–anyone could remove it. I can see screwing a cover over top being inconvenient for those using it wirelessly, but it would be a good option for those hardwiring the device on.Connecting the device to the app is also easy. Start by pressing the reset button on the back and press “Add device” on the app. You use Bluetooth for the initial connection and then select a wireless network. Then it’s connected.I enjoy being able to customize alerts and recordings and that I can share access to the device with housemates.

When working the doorbell camera is very good. However, the battery life is nowhere near as long as Wyze say in their marketing (claiming 6-9 months on one charge). I keep mine on power saving mode and the best I get is 4-6 weeks.
