Good tv box
Out the box its a good tv box. I like to do things simple. I installed the projectivy launcher for better layout, got the 3 apps that will be used and everything worked great and quick. I owned about 5 boxes and set up multiple for others and lots of them time is the teller, so I can’t speak on that as this was just set up for someone. But I think I’ll grab one of these for myself too even though i only use android tvs. You don’t have to worry about it blocking apps or deleting apps you use. The only thing id change is to have the keyboard light up. That would be great for a dark room. Idk if the specs are legit but it does what we needed it to do.Update i connected a ps5 and ps4 controller to the box. They connect but there’s no input (the controller does absolutely nothing. Not a deal breaker but was looking forward to playing retroarch.

I had just recently bought a new Samsung TV. My old one was a Hisense Android tv. It had the Kodi app on it. I love the Kodi app. Best open source app for Media management. Anyways Samsung does not support Android apps. So I did some research and bought this Android TV 13 pro. I wasn’t sure if it was gonna work. But I hooked it up and set was very easy. I downloaded Kodi and it took me about five days to scan all my shows and movies off and on of course. But once it was all set up Kodi works even better than on my old TV. The box has a better and faster processor. Makes a big difference. It’s only been about a week but the box works really well. I don’t use it for streaming so I can’t comment about that part of it. I would Definitely recommend this box if you want to use it for Kodi.

Good, cheap Android based flexible media device
First thing to know — this isn’t an Android TV or Google device. It’s a Rock13 based Android tablet device in a box.On the negative side, it didn’t run a couple apps (Pluto TV and my ISP TV app). Actual WiFi 6 transfer speed is relatively slow despite a good connection, but it is more than enough for 4K, which plays fine. The keyboard device is often a necessity because it needs a mouse type pad to control some apps, not using an Android TV interface.For my intended use primarily as a local media and free app streaming system, it works perfectly fine. It has Aptoide installed if you need an alternative to Google Play for apps, and the installed apps and many free video sources like Tubi work perfectly.It has two USB connectors – one for the keyboard dongle that is inside the keyboard battery compartment – and a microSD slot. That gives me to options for local media libraries to easily play. I put music on an SD card and movies on the USB drive. Plus a local network, making it easy to browse and find my content.I couldn’t recommend it if you want an easy Google TV experience, or anything like our TIVO device, but for what it does it is a good value.

Works great once you reboot it every time you power the unit down.
Purchased 2 of these units. Both work very well with excellent video/audio quality…But every day when I turn the unit ON, I have to restart it by rebooting or unplugging the power due to it loosing the internet connection and not reconnecting on its own. Its a small bother every time to cycle it.

CAREFUL – THIS IN NOT AN ANDROID TV STREAM BOX.
Like the title says, CAREFUL Its not an Andriod TV box. It is sort of represented as one, but it’s not. I tries to mimic one, but fails on several fronts. It has a phone/tablet android operating system, not the certified Google Andriod TV OS. So, many apps you might expect to load may not show up, or won’t load thru Play Store, or will not work as you expect – if you are expecting an Android TV box experience. Replacing the launcher only skins over this difference in the UI, but doesn’t touch the underlying problem.It works fine for things like Kodi, for accessing your network NAS or network media server content, but requires a lot of effort to figure out setup to show nicely on your screen and to operate. Actual Android TV versions of apps can be sideloaded, which is a laborious process requiring s few different work-around hacking apps. The remote, quite simply, sucks. I didn’t set up and try the little keyboard yet, it looks very similar. I mostly bought this to access my NAS content on a remote TV over wifi, and have gotten it to work for that via Kodi. It’s cheap, and functions in that limited way, but if you’re looking for the Andriod TV experience – it’s disappointing. If you go thru all the hacks, it might take a day or two but you can improve it a fair amount.
