This streaming box runs Android 14, which gives you access to the latest apps on the Google Play Store, making it a very versatile box that can be used for anything from Netflix and Amazon to YouTube and even games. The video quality it outputs is super sharp; as you can see in my pictures, it looks great even with high-definition 4K video output.The box was super easy to connect; you simply power it on, and then follow the on-screen instructions to pair it with the remote. I tested with my Samsung S95F TV and my Onkyo TX-RZ50 receiver. The box worked immediately with absolutely no issues, and once I connected my Google account, I was watching videos in minutes. The audio output was great and in sync with the picture, and the picture was fabulous. I am an AV enthusiast and really into home theater equipment, so I am picky, but this definitely meets my expectations.The device has an RK3528 Cortex A53 processor, so it is super snappy when you are moving around the various applications inside the menus. This thing is really responsive, and the remote control has good range and works effortlessly. It even has voice control built in!The box connects to the internet with either a 10/100 Ethernet port or Wi-Fi 6. You should choose Wi-Fi 6 as it is faster, but the standard Ethernet port also provides enough bandwidth for high-def 4K video. The box also supports Bluetooth 5.0 for audio and a keyboard, which would be very handy for the menus.Most modern smart TVs have many of these same features, but some tend to run much slower than this box, so it will be a nice upgrade for a lower-end smart TV. Naturally, this would also be a great box if you are using a standard TV that doesn’t have apps built in. You get all of this at a great low price; this box really does offer exceptional value for the dollar. I actually have a much more expensive $250 unit that I use, but this box offers nearly every single option that the more expensive model does, though it isn’t quite as great if you want 7.1 audio output. Barring that one tiny detail, this box is perfect.
