Dollar Tree Quality
Hub works great, connected to wifi and app quick and easy. The socket/plug which is not a smart plug so don’t get them confused. What comes in this kit is some lazy junk. The socket won’t connect to anything, the hub or the app. You can’t reset the socket other than unplugging and plugging it back in which does nothing unlike the smart plugs where you can actually reset them.With the plug this kit came with it is inoperable. I do not have any plugs that can function or give the proper readings needed to make this work. So unfortunately it’s less than one star. Amazon and the internet seem to think it’s all wifi issues. It has nothing to do with wifi so don’t get that confused. The hub and app already had to be connected to wifi first and work just fine.It’s this very cheap plug design they package with this kit. Definitely a dollar tree product, way over priced.

Nice power hub and smart power meter
Great to monitor some power usage during the Texas heatwave and our average monthly power usage. The hub works phenomenally even without the wifi. Initial setup will require the app though.

Set Up Problematic and Web Support is Zero
Tariff Function Doesn’t work.The website given on the box of the Hub doesn’t offer any support for the device.None of the suggested remedies given on the Amazon website work. o the extent that they are relevant (which they largely are not):I Restarted the meter – that didn’t work.I checked for error messages – there are none.I was unable to reset to factory settings as there are no manufacturer’s instructions on how to do so.I was unable to update the firmware as there are no manufacturer’s instructions on how to do so.I’m troubled by the lack of readily-available tech support and a website that has no information at all about the products I’ve just bought. I’ve written to both of Baldr’s given tech support addresses to ask for help.

Infuriatingly difficult setup
If you’re looking for a socket power meter that you can plugin and just works, this isn’t it. Trying to setup the WiFi and pair the device is crazy hard and never could get it to work right. This might be okay if you needed something to send you alerts if the power goes off but, given the setup insanity, I’m not at all certain this unit would be a good choice. This shouldn’t be this hard. I thought the remote display would be nice for monitoring power usage but nothing is worth this headache. This piece of junk is going straight back.

Simple option to monitor basic energy use
It’s good if you’re looking for a very cheap option to simply monitor energy consumption, but it doesn’t come with a huge range of functionality. It is fairly easy to use, but I did find installation a bit tricky and the app could use some work. The display is good though and I like that the screen has a built in stand (in case you don’t want to mount it on a wall).

Its a shame I gotta give this a star to tell ya’ll what I think of this –Why cant it just plug the watt meter into the smart socket to pair the two together rather than changing your phone to 2.4ghz

Decent Product
I have had this WiFi Power Monitor with Remote Socket Sensors setup for five days and it is working quite well. My only disappointment is that I have tried contacting Baldr seeking information about how to download the collected data and setting up on my desktop, but have had no response from Baldr.
