Answer: Step 1 Power on; Step 2 Hold the “ON” button on remote about 3-5 seconds until the lights start flashing.
Question 2: Does this product work with 5 GHz wifi?
Answer: No, it only works with 2.4 GHz
Question 3: Can you cut the strip and where?
Answer: Yes, there are gold lines where to cut. But the cut off piece has to be connected to a controller.

So easy to install
Love these lights so much, I put them in every room in the house. Great value. Very high quality tape adhesive. Very easy to install, but much easier with a second person on hand. Love the option of remote control &/or app ability to turn on/off, brightness, change colors, add patterns and follows music. Also google & alexa interface

Update: DayBetter reached out and offered a refund as well as apologizing. I will be purchasing from them again. I truly appreciate them reaching out!I am super bummed. I bought these for my son for his birthday. We got them put up just like he wanted them. Plugged them in, and only half the lights work. I really don’t want to take them down. My fault for not checking first.

These do not last
This light strip worked pretty well for a few months and then malfunctioned. The lights and colors look great and very bright going up and down the stairs and they integrate nicely with Alexa.However, about a month in, a section of the strip became defective and wouldn’t change colors correctly. Not sure if this is due to the LED’s partially burning out or a short or false contact in the wiring.I weighed my options and it was already to late to request replacement. Aside from that, DAYBETTER support can’t be reached since their support site is hosted on an inactive Shopify store. I left it alone until maybe repurposing and replacing.Now, two months later, the majority of the strip completely burnt out and doesn’t light up. The LED’s are functional only up to about the 20 ft mark. I won’t purchase again and cannot recommend this product.

Great product and easy on the eyes
works well but difficult to setup. If you are not tech saavy you will be frustrated. However, once up, they are super amazing and bright and have multiple colors that enhance your mood.
