This is a great device, makes a great lamp & works still without any devices or app.
When I ordered this , I thought it was a RGB LED Light up Alarm Clock. That was my fault though for not reading and understanding the item better. It can still operate independently, so think it will be able to be a good lamp.* This review is based solely on the product without it being connected to any additional devices, as I do not have any of the compatible devices.*This light still works wonderfully on its own without any connected devices. It is decent size & kinda looks like a flying saucer. The colors are very vibrant; with a variety of color variations. It was super easy to use right out of the box- Just plug in & turn it on using the remote. The remote is very easy to understand/use, and does a lot without needing to download the app for complex features. It has 3 options on the remote to color based on voice/sound, *note: sounds, your voice & other noises will interfere/ be included in this feature.I’m not sure if it is like that with the device as well. *Even Though this item was not what I thought it was when I 1st ordered it. I am pleasantly surprised but the quality & features of this product on it’s own. This will make a great little desk lamp for my son. It may actually be nice for displaying the 3D engraved crystal balls ( we will have to test that out).Overall a solid product, it’s probably even better with a device & connected to the app.

Made of plastic and including an easy to use remote this product is simple and straight forward. If you’re looking for something that will add some ambient lighting to a room, or a way to set the mood for relaxing or a party, this is a fun accessory to get. You can set the color to a specific one or let the sound make the lights dance to whatever you happen to be listening to. While it does fit the Dot, it will not fit the standard Echo speaker so make sure you are buying for a compatible product. For the money it’s a fun addition that won’t break the bank.
