This product’s description was as reads: “(eKyro Smart Plug Energy Monitor | Compatible with Alexa, Google Home Assistant, iPhone, Siri, Android, Power Tracking 15A 1800W, No Hub Required Energy Monitoring Outlet (Energy Monitoring)” “NO HUB REQUIRED” I took that to mean that, optionally, I could connect to this device directly with any one of the listed platforms. To the extent of my current knowledge, that is not the case. I did not fully read the detailed descriptions of this product before ordering. I suggest that you do. One must first download their app/HUB and then navigate through a myriad of options which will eventually allow you to connect to different devices for the optional separate control of this smart plug. You must have internet for this process. Initially, I found this process to be counterintuitive, as there was no QR Code providing a shorthand connection to the app. The instruction booklet provided has very tiny letters and I could not read them. While this is not a critique of the product itself, but rather, the instructions provided with the product. It was a significant hindrance in my overall experience. Even the app felt like a dead end. Eventually, I looked up the product by brand name, on youtube. And there I was able to find a tutorial video for setup. After all that it worked fine. The overall longevity of the product is still TBD. Another thing to note is that it even seems bigger than I thought it would be, which when it comes to outlets, isn’t a positive….
