Great lights, easy to install and control .
Great lights , working perfect with my 2.4 wifi..I was thinking I had to have all lights On at the same time, but nope…you can control 1×1..

Alexa control of this light is disappointing
First, the hardware is easy to install and I have no complaints in this regard. Very simple, very quick.Unfortunately the package I received was the retail box with a packaging address slapped on the box. The box arrived damaged and the user manual had apparently slipped out and was absent. Fortunately the light was undamaged. I notice there is now a link to the User manual pdf on the product description!I initially tried downloading the default Tuya application on the iPhone app store – which is a fee (subscription or one-time) service. Eventually discovered there is a version that does not require a subscription (thanks to a review on youtube for a similar light).Having set the wi-fi on my phone to 2.4GHz I then switched on the light so it went into connect mode (the light flashes vigorously). Installation thereafter was straight-forward and I had no problems using the software to configure both the colored ambient lighting and the main, central white light. It should be noted that once the light is configured, the light remembers the last setting so you can continue to use the wall switch if needed. Personally I think the switch is redundant if you have an Alexa device in the room (and/or your phone).Renaming the light to something more manageable than ‘Five way ceiling lamp’ is not covered in the user manual but after some fiddling I was able to change to a shorter name.The real disappointment was the Alexa control. It appears impossible to coordinate the colored rim light with the central white light. Assume, for a moment, you have the light set to warm white with a blue rim. You want to change the rim to red so you say something like “Alexa, change Ceiling Light to red”. Alexa changes the rim to red but also turns off the white light! If you then turn on the white light with another Alexa command, the rim light is turned off. It appears you can control the white light or the rim light but not both together. You can easily reestablish the correct color/white light combination with the phone application but it is disappointing that Alexa is unable to coordinate the lights. But for this shortfall I would’ve rated the product as five stars.The white light is bright enough to satisfy my needs in an 11 foot by 12 foot room. Adjusting the temperature of the light is highly effective. The rim lights nicely catch the corners of the room and generate a pleasing effect. I saw no flicker and experienced no buzzing noises (a complaint I saw elsewhere at low light levels).If anyone has a solution for Alexa failing to coordinate the main and rim lights, please let me know and I will adjust the review accordingly!

Easy install and good quality
Easy install 10 minutes if you know what you’re doing. Great lighting bright and colorful. The remote makes adjusting brightness or changing colors easy.

Bright lights, Wrong RGB colors, Slow Smart Home Responses, Overheats.
I bought these to help with better lighting and smart home usage.•The smart features aren’t.When you are using the main light and say, set light to yellow, the rgb strip shows green. Once you change colors a couple of times it allows it to go to yellow. Even with the app color choices. The light will not turn to warm white without the app for example.It does not have normal responses, neither timely nor accurately besides the simple stuff like on/off, bright white and red, blue, green.Routines arent reliable. Scenes aren’t available but through the app.Simply put, it’s poor integration of the smarthome features. They are clunky or hit and miss.These two lights in the same room don’t always turn on or turn off together. It’s like the smart commands are 2-3 seconds ater the other unit.Once you figure out how to work with the wrong colors to ultimately get what you want, good I guess.•The unit is very hot after 5 minutes of on time. no heat vent in the plastic enclosure, it’s sealed. If you take it down after initial use, you’ll notice the chemical smell of something getting hot. On both.•You get what you pay for.
