Great smartbulb, best I’ve used.
NOTE: AFAICT, the Hue Hub does *not* have the ability to join a wifi network, it must be wired in. This was slightly surprising since it literally advertises wifi support on the box. This could simply be my failing to see how to link it up wirelessly.I’ve tried out several other brands of smart bulbs (with color), and these are hands down the best. They link quickly and their color range is great. Bright is bright, and the dimmest settings are *great* for sleeping at night.The whole Philips Hue system works very well, and integrates with Google just fine.

Unlike lifx, these actually work
I had 6 Lifx bulbs in my apartment for several years. They were fairly unreliable. You could try to turn them on or off from the app, and only some random subset would actually respond. When you’re in bed and want to go to sleep, but one of your “smart” lights doesn’t want to respond and turn off, it can be really infuriating.I finally made the jump to Phillips hue, replacing all 6 bulbs. Best decision ever! Phillips Hue “just works”. They were extremely easy to set up, they’re perfectly responsive, and the Google home integration is great!Also, some of the other form factors are really nice (like the Hue Bloom).

We have over 10 Hue color lights in our house, and we usually love this product, but these lights in particular were just such a tragic disappointment.The lights would turn on just fine (for the most part at least) – but there was no control over colors, they would randomly switch to white and when clicked to change to a different color they would only do so 1/3 of the time… also one of the lights wouldn’t connect with the HUE app at all (let alone Alexa)… We have to return them. So sad, we usually love Hue Lights!

So far, so good
Installation was easy. It did take about an hour to update the four lights and the hub, but once completed, it was easy to discover them in the Hue app. The Hue app could use a little CX polishing, but it was fun for us to create some scenes and have some fun with a Halloween theme. They are expensive (we only picked up the four lights in the starter kit). I don’t know if we’ll purchase more due to the cost.

Love these bulbs!
My daughter saved her money to buy a set of four lights when she switched bedrooms with her sister. She had been wanting them for a long time, and the bulbs did not disappoint! She put four in her ceiling fan, and controls them how she likes, sometimes color combinations, sometimes bright white for her schoolwork. The best part is that they can be controlled with the Home App on our Apple products.

Best on the Market, but still lacking
The ability to change the color of your lights is pretty fun, and sets a good ambiance for parties. I also like to have bluer light to help wake me up in the morning, and warmer light towards bedtime. I wish that there weren’t such a lag between changing the lights in the app or switch, and the lights actually changing. This isn’t a problem usually, but there could be more functionality and responsiveness for lights changing with music if there weren’t a 3 second lag. Lastly, the switch to turning on the lights with your phone from a wall switch is stark. It’s just not as satisfying to play with an app and then wait 3 seconds and then have light when all you want to do is see when you get home. The wall switch that Phillips sells for these lights is necessary IMHO, and then you have a physical and a wifi switch for your lights :-/ Can’t wait to see where this technology goes in 3 years.

Easy setup with Apple HomeKit
Figuring out that I needed to order the “California Residents” version of Hue Lightbulbs was totally confusing. I had NO idea there was a special version for California – and that California Residents are NOT allowed to buy the version of these bulbs everyone else seems to be able to buy (This is an Amazon criticism, not a criticism of the seller).Once I realized I needed to search for “Philips Hue California Resident” things made more sense.I got the bulbs (and hub) very quickly. All performed as expected. Setup was a breeze and I now have them working with Apple Homekit.

Buy it!!!
My life before this was boring.Hahaha jk, these are great though! I bought an Alexa to pair up with the hue and I will never go back. It’s so nice to automagically have my lights turn on dim and give me the weather at 5 am. It’s also nice that they automagically turn on full bright mode at 5:30 to kick my butt out of bed.But that’s not all… I’m also a gamer and if you download the hue app on your Windows PC, you can sync up your PC games or Xbox with these lights for some action packed light changes. I won’t spoil it for you just buy it and see for yourself.

Las mejores luces de color, con una gran calidad, brillo y gama de colores. Es un producto caro pero vale la pena. Lo puedes sincronizar con Google assistant para control por voz o con IFTTT para automatizarlo con rutinas que permiten llegar a casa y encender la luz automáticamente.
