100% Garbage and a Potential Safety Risk
These prop guards were a pain in the A$$ to install. I had to put so much pressure on the “clasps” to snap them shut, that I thought I might break the motor arm on my drone.I seriously doubt that the plastic folding “clasps” that clamp around the motor arms would last more than a couple of uses before breaking at the fold.On the first test flight, I lifted off and hovered at eye level to perform the final steps of my standard safety inspection prior to any real flying.These prop guards are so thin and flexible that they flapped and vibrated wildly in the prop wash of my Mavic Pro Platinum (with Master Airscrew props installed as usual) so much that I thought the prop tips were going to strike the prop guard.Not only did the vibration interfere with precise control of the drone, but the entire drone was vibrating so wildly that I was afraid I might burn out one or more of the motors or otherwise damage the drone before I could land.I’m just glad my standard safety procedures caught the problem before I climbed to a higher altitude where the drone would have surely encountered stronger winds and possibly torn itself apart before plummeting to the ground.Amazon did process my return quickly though, so I’m not too bent out of shape about the lack of a “Zero Stars” or “Negative Stars” review option.
